We are going to bomb the moon in October
In order to hear Coast to Coast, you have to go to www.coasttocoastam.com and listen to their archives. The program last night discussed the fact that we are scheduled to bomb the moon in October from the ship that is now circling the moon taking pictures of its surface. Also there are unidentified objects on the moon which might take offense at our bombing the moon and it is against the various space agreements made with the UN and other countries.
I cannot be more precise for you about this information. You will have to research it yourself. I am just repeating what was said on Coast to Coast last night (this morning). You can take it or leave it, do your own research.
The bomb will leave a 5 mile crater. The book, Apollo 11, talks about the unidentified crafts found on the moon and kept hush, hush, of course.
Sounds crazy, I know. Doesn't everything we talk about these days?

There is no bomb
there are impactors.
Relying on the speed of the impact to create a plume.
Bullet, would be a better term.
Or Human created meteor. Having no atmosphere the moon's surface is impacted by everything captured by it's gravity. Nothing burns up, again because there is no atmosphere.
The moon has survived billions of years of these impacts, it will survive the man made ones too. Except this time, they are "scheduled meteors" so we know where, and when to look.
Nothing to get excited about, unless you are a science geek, like me.

The moon, it circles the globe every day, all day. Sometimes full, sometimes invisible. It is obviously a militant terrorist scoping out and establishing sects in the US and our ally nations borders. Why, I think I remember a youtube video with the moon alluding to attacks on America that it was planning. It is constantly preaching anit-American fanatical philosophies, puling at our seas, trying to sway them against the American empire. It shines too bright when it's full as a tactic to foil our night vision surveilance network. That's when it is really free to get out messages to its terrorist cells. The "moon", spell it backwards and this all makes sense. It's high time the US did something about this interstellar menace. Maybe we could blow it to dust and ally ourselves with Io, maybe even get it to replace our evil celestial partner.

If it feeds the gluttonous maw of the military-industrial complex, the government will buy it. I haven't read the specifics, but I'll bet the bomb came with at least a $1 billion price tag.
If they want water for a moon station, why don't they just send up earth water? Water is heavy but it's not that heavy. They can filter it and recycle the greywater, while using incinerator toilets for all sewage.
It's because it's all about the bomb. The Fedgov loves bombs and it loves petroleum. We can never spend too much promoting either.

Did anyone see that movie The Time Machine a few years back -- it was a remake. In the movie, the humans are bombing the moon - they're using nukes to hollow out big caverns in the moon to create settlements for colonists.
Well, things go awry, of course. The explosions crack the moon, and knock it out of its orbit! I will never forget that image of the moon, broken to pieces, floating in the sky. The gravitational impact of the cracked moon causes all kinds of earthquakes on earth. Marshall law is declared and everyone gets rounded up.
You can see some of it in this trailer - start around 3:00.
Overall, this is a great movie - well worth watching if you're a science fiction fan (and even if you're not).
