It appears total socialist control will include bread baked in home ovens as well as selling tomatoes in fron of your house. Here is an excerpt on the Congressional bill moving forward. A3: Yes, you would now have to follow federally-established standards for growing produce. [3a] Produce not grown as required by these standards would be considered as adulterated under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA). [3b] Further, you would be required to make your business records available to FDA inspectors. [3c] The inspectors would have the power to show up unannounced without a warrant to search your records without any evidence whatsoever that you have committed a violation of the law. If you refuse to let the inspector see your records, you would be guilty of adulteration under FFDCA. [3d]

Folks at the
farmers market had no idea about this. Because it was not made known, nor was it even posted in the state website. Yet they are regulated without their knowing or without agreeing to anything-- subjected to penalties.

It is difficult to say
it depends on the inspector. I was instructed today that a trade may be OK. But not if you trade a dollar bill.
Giveaways are normally OK, unless they give a donation for something else.

And, it is possible to stop them if people are united in their passion for liberty and freedom and they put effort forth, both locally and nationally. Joining C4L, for example, is one great route. You know, we can just sit there OR we can be proactive! Bachmann just showed what being proactive is all about! We need people like her in Congress, rather than the majority of the ilk that is festering there. We need to canvass against these people, with flyers of THIER VOTING RECORDS and what that means to the constituents that are on the recieving end of this information!

There is only one way to
There is only one way to handle this if it passes. And that is to put the fear of God into anyone who takes the job as inspector. If they can't find anyone to enforce it then they can't do it.
This may seem drastic but nothing else works and these criminals just keep throwing up one POS after another to get anything they can to stick. Even here we can't all keep up with it.
The people who enforce these decrees need to learn this is not an acceptable practice... I am not talking about hurting anyone either, however done properly I think these people can be convinced taking such a job is not a wise course of action.
It's already here in lots of places, some local farmers markets have tax collectors and food inspectors harassing people too.
