It appears total socialist control will include bread baked in home ovens as well as selling tomatoes in fron of your house. Here is an excerpt on the Congressional bill moving forward. Please follow the link to learn more (it gets worse) and sign a petition if you think it will do any good. Here is a Q & A.

A3: Yes, you would now have to follow federally-established standards for growing produce. [3a] Produce not grown as required by these standards would be considered as adulterated under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA). [3b] Further, you would be required to make your business records available to FDA inspectors. [3c] The inspectors would have the power to show up unannounced without a warrant to search your records without any evidence whatsoever that you have committed a violation of the law. If you refuse to let the inspector see your records, you would be guilty of adulteration under FFDCA. [3d]

the Amish will NOT be affected by this. Congress can NOT and DOES not legislate over sovereigns. They legislate ONLY over people in the Federal Zones, such as District of Columbia.
For any of you who dont know, the Federal zones are NOT protected by the Constitution. The Constitution does not apply in Washington D.C.!!!!
and, would you believe the federal definition of "Citizen" or "Citizen of the United States" means someone born or living in the District of Columbia?
Also, would you believe, that IF you have EVER claimed on any form (which we all have) to be a "Citizen", that we gave up our sovereignty, and placed ourselves in the District of Columbia?

Apparantly when the SWAT team came for the Amish family who sold a guy some raw milk somebody forgot to mention all this to them. I don't dispute the fact that you are right, but it won't help. If we lived in the system we're supposed to be living in everything would work out fine, but it is corrupt and violent; therefore, all the realities of the law don't apply.

IF SO GREAT!! However .. since when do the foot soldiers of the Republic..(ie stormtroopers of our day) ever follow the law? Yes, in a court room you could use that evidence and even (perhaps) win.. But in the moment when the FDA is raiding your little farm demanding records,etc.. how effective would it be?
( I still say contact the Amish ASAP... they will fight this --with/for us... since it is in their own personal best interests)

I'm going tonight and will be sure to spread the word. I called my congressman and alreted him already--we're also meeting on Monday to discuss some other things, but I will bring this up. I'm selling gardening supplies and a brand of hot peppers and FDA ain't welcome in our kitchen.

We need to get our governors

If you haven't already, try contacting the public elementary school in Bowling Green [Ohio]. I grew up there and when I was in kindergarten and at least for a while after it was the regular year end field trip to go to an Amish farm when they were making molasses. That was many moons ago though.
