Are we putting ourselves in checkmate or check?
HR 1207- Audit the FED Reserve bill now has 243 co-sponsors and is gaining steam. My question is regarding what happens if this passes.
Assumptions:
HR 1207 passes and the president signs it into law.
The economy does not collapse before the end of next year.
An audit actually takes place next year.
The FED actually answers truthfully.
The FED is being irresponsible with the dollar.
The FED is running dual sets of books.
Questions:
Will the dollar collapse or a great decline in value if the results of the FED come out after the audit?
Wouldn't our economy nearly or totally collapse if everyone realized that the dollar is worth nothing and the FED is screwing us over?
If there is not a legal competing currency, will we all be in trouble?
If our economy collapses due to the audit, what will happen? Will there be a call for a new world or a North American currency? Will the UN or EU try to step in and "assist"?
PS: I am not fear mongering and I do support the HR 1207. I have called on the majority of the email/fax bombs and emailed and called my own congressmen. I also support the auditing of the FED and ending it, but I am starting to think a competing currency is a must if we are to do it peacefully and with less resistance.

There is not going to be any real or legit audit no matter if this bill passes or not. They will lie and obfuscate as always and then the media will say gee the fed audit was pretty good with only a few minor discrepancies. Might as well get over it now.

I think the ride could get a little crazy
and I think there is too many possibilities to make an assumption. I think there is a very strong possibility that they can cover their tracks if it passes. When you can print 9 trillion dollars at the push of a button, I am sure it means you can also cover your tracks to make it look legit. I just pray the team that audits them does not get paid off by the Fed. The audit needs to be done by a random accounting firm chosen from a list of thousands so we can make sure it is done correctly and without corruption. I don't know how it can be full proofed.

I would rather have a collapse than continuing fraud. The longer the fraud goes on, the worse it's going to be when it finally does collapse.
And when it does collapse, especially if it is a result of an audit, I'm sure people will be very resistant to establishing another central bank, especially a world sized one.
