Cap and Trade - ONE LAST PUSH

0 votes

It's 4:45PM and debate is coming to a close. I saw a report that at last count the votes appeared to be 210 yea, 210 nay, and 14 undecided. I have not been able to find who the 14 are. But the switchboards in DC are on fire.

Vocal opponent. Checked his website and already sent a letter applauding him. Gave my .02 on private property laws and tax incentives. He is a typical shill for the party but seems to have a good understanding of cap and trade.

AZ Harry Mitchell will Vote no

Just heard from a young lady in his AZ office. He's voting no. FYI

Again, I think a good angle

Again, I think a good angle on the undecideds is the fact that they haven't been able to even read the bill yet, so how can they vote for it in good conscience.

Here is a link to the 14 undecided.

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/06/26/cap-and-ta-liveblog-pt-...

here are their names:

Arcuri, Boccieri, Brown (FL), Carney, Dicks, Donnelly, Al Green, Kind, Kirk, Kirkpatrick, Petri, Space, Teague, Tonko.

Sheesh

The woman I talked to in Honda's office said he still had the bill under consideration. So why is his name not on the list? One of them is mistaken.

Still under consideration? I told her that with the bill coming in at 1200 pages, there was no way he would be able to read and understand it, and that we have had too many un-read bills pass.

Either earlier today or yesterday

Michelle Malkin's site had a listing of everyone. They were listed by yes, leaning yes, no, leaning no. I will see if I can find it and post the link here.

UPDATE: here's the link:

Thanks. truthy!

Will get on it - Except I'm now forbidden to reach contacting Congress website! They're trying to close us down, because they know we're right.

This last commenter is a lot longer than one lousy minute!!!

Can you tell I'm upset? What liars!!!!!!!!!!!!

My congress critter's line is busy

I can't get through. I take that as a good sign. Unless they just took it off the hook.

Edit: I got through to a young woman in the (un)representative's California office. Although she could not come out and say it, she sounded quite concerned about the economic consequences of the bill. I actually think she will relay my message.
