"You have no hope in winning the nomination" on national telivision

WOW a question designed simply to paint Ron Paul as a "crazy fox" that will never win the republican nomination. Way to through an "unbiased" question in and direct it only to Ron Paul. Please slam this guy's comment box so he can realize how wrong that question was!

my response:
"so we are at comment 7 right now.. the last five berating you for asking a biased uninformed borderline slandering question to Ron Paul tonight... look forward to 200 more comments with in the day because guess what... you're just plain wrong..."

Debate question

The "you can't win" question was obviously planted..Then they interview the guy and he says he can't vote for Paul because he's an independent,,..Any child knows all he has to do is change his registration..I'm certain this question was planted due to our criticism of Glenn beck and CNN..

how'd ya like the way he

how'd ya like the way he turned that around on em :)

How many times are they going to ask this question?

Every Fox Debate the question is worded...with your stances on the War...Why are you seeking the Republican nomination?

Can't these people hear? Amazinly they've asked the same question, to the same candidate at least 4 times by my count (in the debates)( and many more on practically every news show) and they still haven't heard his answer?!!?

And he has no hope !,if Ron

And he has no hope !,if Ron Paul does'nt become President (what a dweeb!!!)

"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."

"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."

How Aloof!

I loved the way Ron Paul completely ignored the question and just concentrated on how well his campaign is going, which prompted Anderson Cooper to say, "I'll take that as a 'no'." His stance a third party candidancy is out of the question and the republican nomination is the only acceptable outcome provides a strong example of his ability to lead this country.

We have power and they know it!

We are growing in numbers and "they" know it.

The biggest worry they seem to have is if we decide to run a third candidate.

If they continue to marginalize us, maybe we can use that as our "ace in the hole".

If they try to cheat us of the nomination, maybe we will (threaten to) run as a "third candidate".

That will mean it is either "President Ron Paul" or "Madame President Clinton".

And they know it.

sharp question & a home run

I thought it was great! Confronting the question directly in the public debate was a good psychological ploy combined with the "crazy like a fox" comment:

Urban Dictionary: "crazy like a fox"
The individual refered to is not crazy at all, rather cunning (like a fox).

I chuckled and loved Dr. Paul's response. The questioner pitched Dr. Paul a straight zinger with which he could hit a home run -- and he did.

Rather than spam the YouTube questioner, I think he should be complimented. It is better to confront the "can't win the nomination" charge directly and counter it than let it simmer unanswered. LOL it was delightful.

edited to add: CNN may have been crazy like fox too, in selecting this question!

I had a different interpretation....

of the psychological effect of the question. It was simply reinforcing a thought "meme" that Ron Paul won't win primaries, and for those that will fight for him until the end, you can just "hang back" and wait for his 3rd party run.

Who was that???

I was in the other room when CNN was doing some sort of 'prove it' thing, and some dope said that Ron said he had 5,000 at a rally but that the truth of the matter was, this person was there and he only saw 2,000. Did anyone hear this?

i heard it.

who is right? this needs to be its own post.

ron paul 2008

if you build it he will come..........Ron Paul 2012.

so correction...

alright i sent him a revised comment:

"turns out...

it actually makes more sense to thank you for your biased question (according to ron paul supporters believe it or not) so i will rescind my negative comments and

THANK YOU

for your question... it should the true conviction and momentum of the Ron Paul campaign!

(hope the other supporter will join me in doing the same)

;)

"

The guy who posted that

The guy who posted that question was interviewed in the post-"debate" coverage, and they talked about the fact that he also got a question in the Democratic YouTube debate.

I don't know what that means, but there it is.

WTF?

That was the most awesome moment in the debate. That question was a gift: a big softball that Ron Paul knocked out of the park!

What a response!

Yeah but WHAT A RESPONSE!

It gave Ron Paul the opportunity to let everyone in America know how strong the movement is becoming. Go back and watch his answer again. It was great! Since it was the last actual political question of the night, I thought it actually worked very well for Dr. Paul.

This guy actually did Ron Paul a HUGE favor.

Who knew that same ol' tired question he gets asked in every interview could give him the opportunity to knock it out of the park! Awesome!

It was the Best Moment of the CNN-YouTube Debate

Here was the moment:

I have to strongly disagree. It was an amazing Ron Paul moment. I'm still grinning ear to ear!!! Ron Paul completely turned this around. I love how he mentions his huge rallys and the 4.3 million in one day. Also, I disagree with the questioner: Ron Paul has a very good shot at winning this thing!

agreed... he turned it right

agreed... he turned it right around beautifully...

Brainwashing

i honestly believe the CFR types are repeatedly using these terms to brainwash the weakminded public. notice that virtually every article or interview asks RP if he will run as an independent, uses the terms wacky, crazy, or something similar and always labels him a libertarian. if you hear that 10,000 times you might start to believe it.

exactly... i look forward to

exactly... i look forward to us proving them wrong to the point that those comments can no longer take effect!!!! RP08!!!!

With you all the way... willing to camp out in Iowa all of January to spread the word! Thanks guys!

you need to camp out there

you need to camp out there in December since Jan 3 is the caucus. :-)

CNN Online

He (Mark Strauss) said he won't be voting for Ron Paul anymore because he isn't running as an independent. What's with this buffoon?

typical person who will vote

typical person who will vote along or against party lines instead of choosing a candidate who supports the same views you do. party affiliations don't mean anything to me anymore. i vote the issues!

We should make a bumper sticker that says that.....

It matters not who creates the question,

just he who selects it for dissemination.

Soon their biggest problem will be:

"We knew he had a lot of supporters, but we can't believe how many of them vote"

-----
"We knew Ron Paul had a lot of supporters, but we had no idea that ALL of them would vote" - last known words from the MSM

Right on

That's right. All of this won't matter anymore when we all show up to vote in the primaries and Ron Paul get's a much bigger percentage of the votes than any poll had suggested. No need to worry about what the Main Stream Media are saying or portraying. We know Ron Paul's support is growing. No one is going to be able to stop this movement now!

If you are pissed off the get out and do something about it!

I watced the so called debate tonight and my tv was lucky I could not throw something at it and hit the propaganda machine in the head but this is to be expected. The MSM makes money from the war and benifits from Big Goverment regulation. We can not fight them in the medium in which they protect becaue they benifit from it. What can we do? We can get out and get the vote! If tonight has you pissed, no point in bitching to CNN. Get out tomorrow and talk to the real people that can cast a vote that matters. Do it own your own or join or creat a Ron Paul meetup. The truth is Ron Paul has the people behind him and the best way to make our voice heard is not threw media debates but person on person support. On Black Friday I walked the lines at the Best Buy in Adventura Florida and handded out 200 slim jims and engaged in great debates and I am sure attracted supportes. What we have is passion and numbers and what we need to do now id focus oh what will get the vote out and that is changeing one persons mind at a time and to do that we need not to just watch a debate but get out to where the people are at and ingage them in debate. When have the power of the people and we need to make sure that the most number of people can hear what we so strongly believe in a personal conversation not a conversation controlled by the MSM.
