can they marry while in office, if they marry a lobbyist they must immediately resign their position. Somehow we have to find a way to divorce this unhealthy part of our DC beurocrats. open to suggestions. » |

If there were many more Reps, each Rep would have less power, constituents would have a chance at a personal conversation with their Rep, and lobbyists would have difficulties influencing so many Reps.
Since each Rep would have less power and receive fewer bribes/favors, there would be less incentive to stay elected for a lifetime thus more frequent turnover and more "average guys" elected.

I remember that con artist Hillary Clinton, say "lobbyist have families too". Admitting to the dumb dumbs she had loyalties other than the American people but they are too stupid to even know what she said.

legislation? You do realize that when (or if, but I'm assuming when) you call reps to support HR1207, that you are a lobbyist and a special interest?

I don't represent a rich company, I'm not going to bribe them or donate to their campaigns in the $100,000s of thousands, and I don't stand to gain other than allowing my fellow Americans to also gain. NOT THE SAME THING. Not even close. I'm their boss I'm allowed. I'm not a company who wants legislation to screw the American people, I want legislation to protect the American people.

No smoking, seatbelts, forced health care, etc. Who says congressman shouldn't have limits to their freedom. We need to fight back with these power hungry lawyers before they take away every right granted to us by our creator. Start with the pocketbook.
