There's probably at least 5 bills with the same kinda overlapping language out there. One bill gets killed, no big deal to them, they have the other ones. Little by little, piece by piece they get em thru and the pieces of the puzzle get put together.

Technically it is illegal to attempt to pass the same bill within a year, so they change the language a little and pretend not to notice the common ties.

This way they keep us from being able to focus and have us spread out all over the place continually attempting to put out all the little fires..............

Regainning the control of Constitutional Law is the only solution, otherwise were chasing windmills.

Actually, 2998 is an amendment to 2454

It looked like a bunch of eight year olds devised this thing, slopped it together in twenty minutes and sailed it through Congress with almost NO ONE reading any portion of the bill!!!

Mandatory labels for water, this is the kind of crap from a bad B movie!!!

SOMEONE STOP ALL OF THIS BEYOND RIDICULOUS LEGISLATION, PUT AN EMBARGO ON IT!!!!

This could have come from gutter trash like the AIPAC-CFR lobbyists in the middle of the night, it's full of that many holes and it's not even good.

Products that use water will have to have a WaterSense label.

In my business of underground sprinklers they have had a program with the EPA called just that since 2006 and there are already quite a few installers in my state that are already certified under the program, of course this is the first we are hearing about it...so we are not.
But if we want to stay in business after this bill passes I guess will have to. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

in price of energy that it takes to produce said products..but they will go up because of the regulations.

a) EPA Study- The Administrator shall conduct a study to determine the feasibility of establishing a national program for measuring, reporting, publicly disclosing, and labeling products or materials sold in the United States for their carbon content, and shall, not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of this Act, transmit a report to Congress which shall include the following:

(1) A determination of whether a national product carbon disclosure program and labeling program would be effective in achieving the intended goals of achieving greenhouse gas reductions and an examination of existing programs globally and their strengths and weaknesses.

(2) Criteria for identifying and prioritizing sectors and products and processes that should be covered in such program or programs.

(3) An identification of products, processes, or sectors whose inclusion could have a substantial carbon impact (prioritizing industrial products such as iron and steel, aluminum, cement, chemicals, and paper products, and also including food, beverage, hygiene, cleaning, household cleaners, construction, metals, clothing, semiconductor, and consumer electronics).
