Poor Customer Service in the US
After reading that Bloomberg article on the front page of the DP... I'm in an U-S-A bashing mood!!!
I'll tell you a story that happened to me recently:
I asked my mother's lawyer in the States to help me out. I paid him up front for his "services." Now, you think someone with a higher education and successful law firm would treat clients with respect and good will... NOT IN THE U-S-A!!!
Not only did this prick ignore my emails and phone calls but they sent my documents out by snail mail!!!! NOT EVEN BY REGISTERED MAIL!!!
After the documents failed to get to me, and me grilling everyone in the office, they FedX-ed new copies to me.
Now, the funny thing is, they wrote down the wrong freak'n address! So I called them and told them the docs are late and you need to call FedX to find them. The secretary ACTUALLY SAID that I should find FedX on the Internet and call them myself. LOL!!!
After explaining to her why it was their responsibility to do it, she finally agreed and called them.
She got back to me and said, "They tried to deliver twice and failed. You have to go down to the FedX office in your area and pick them up!"
I just laughed and explained to her that this is Japan and they understand what customer service is and I'll guarantee I won't have to leave my house to get them.
Sure enough I was right. Think about that for a second, the American FedX said, "He has to go pick them up!" and the Japanese branch had none of it and brought them to me.
Never again will a rely on an American business for jack$#@t!!!
Finally, I wrote that law firm a long email and explained to them how the economy is going to suck them dry and that they better start treating people with dignity and respect if they want to survive.
I did not get a reply--I wonder why? :(
My Mom said, "They usually treat me OK...." I told her, "Mom, you do not realize what customer service is because you live in a 3rd world hellhole!" LOL! She didn't like to hear that....

There could be a positive side to this:
Because of the large amount of workers without work, the stores, companies, etc. will have a large amount of people to choose from, which means that only the good workers will be working. I imagine that we will see that customer service will improve.
I thought about that but if
I thought about that but if we turn into Cuba then costumer service will be non-existence. With everyone on the dole or working for the US Gobament, private industry will be a bad joke....
I wrote something about this a while back
seeing this thread reminded me why I don't go to Wendy's

It's ridiculous. People in
It's ridiculous. People in the States are so hooked on the welfare state that they act is if they are doing you a favor by serving you a burger or cutting your hair.
Now that the US is turning into South America watch how worse customer service gets. Soon you'll walk into a restaurant and the staff will be sleeping in booths and they'll get angry that you came in and bothered them....
I experienced Corporate America
dropping the "customer is always right" motto about 8 years ago. I have given up on customer service. If I knew where to go, I'd leave. I wouldn't leave my country, I'd leave the people who have hijacked this great land.
The US is a beautiful land
The US is a beautiful land but it's filled with ingrates, hacks, losers, dummies, and immoral scumbags and that's only the people who voted for McCain! The Obama folks are worse....
