Financial Service Committee to Have Hearing on the Role of the Federal Reserve July 9

Financial Service Committee to Have Hearing on the Role of the Federal Reserve July 9

I called into Congressman Frank’s office today to find out if a hearing will be had on HR 1207 and was instructed to contact the Financial Service Committee. Upon calling them, I asked if a hearing on HR 1207 would be coming up anytime soon. Her statement was that the committee would be having a hearing on the role of the Federal Reserve July 9, but not for the bill. How can this be?

I asked if this bill would be covered in the context of this meeting and she said that perhaps it would. This is the typical Washington shuffle. Talk about the bill but don't address it.

Congressman Frank promised to have a hearing for this bill, but no movement. Forget calling Frank. Let's call the Committee responsible for hearing the bill. Time for us to turn on the heat.

The Committee is a great place to call to start telling them that a hearing of this bill should be scheduled and the People are demanding it.

They can be reached at 202-225-4247. Please call today and politely ask for a hearing of HR 1207 to be scheduled.

Famous quotes about the FED is the Fax Cover Sheet to Use

Ralph Waldo post is the cover fax sheet to send to everyone on the "committee" members along with your demand as a member of the "American People Committee" for an accounting and a end to this organization!

Listen we should have had Tom Tancredo's endorsement and Bay Buchanan working on Congressman Paul's campaign not Romney's! She is a highly trained pro at this and a good public speaker with connections to get on TV at the cable channels. There has to be a

So the Federal Reserve....

Has repeatedly canceled attending this hearing. I wonder why...Really?

Where's Ron Paul....
Just what does the Federal Reserve have to hide??

Aren't they the defenders of "freedom" and "democracy"?

Global Financial Crisis.......

The global financial crisis could said to have started in late 2007, or in early 2008 when manufacturing slowed and the first signs of trouble began to emerge. It could also be said that it became a global financial crisis the second any foreign banks started to look as though they weren't doing stable business and didn't have a lot of financial stability, and needed a cash advance from central governments. The key to progress from now on is going to have to be how to avoid extreme boom and bust cycles, and practice fiscal responsibility on the global scale like we would with personal finance issues, so no huge payday loans are needed in the next global financial crisis.

I think we should do a

I think we should do a phone/email/fax bomb on the committee!
Can someone make a flier and post it online so we can fax it to the committee? Im thinking we should do this tomorrow or Friday. Any opinions???

Great Idea

I have very little graphic design experience and would be worthless.

How about a 1207 DC march? Come right down to the Capital and demand this.

I called in again today and the secretary couldn't seem to answer why so many bills pass through this committee with far fewer cosponsors, but this one sits there with over half the House supporting but no action. I made it very clear to this woman that her committee is slapping the face of this supposed representative democracy system.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

Dr. Paul spoke to this today on Freedom Watch....

it seems that it was scheduled to be heard two or three times and each time it was canceled. Once the fed canceled it because they were having their own meeting. Go figure.

Big big bump

to the top.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

Shouldn't We Get Rid of All Committees?

What are committees anyway, little oligarchies within Congress?

Ron Paul's Convention Speech

I called the financial services committee and got the usual run-around. I was assured it would be addressed during the upcoming hearing on the 9th.
Keep calling em and bugging em about it.

Thanks for the Call

Throw punches in this fight when you can.

He's the man.

Here are a few famous quotes about the FED you can use

to educate your congressman and his staff.

It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." — Henry Ford

"We have, in this country, one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board. This evil institution has impoverished the people of the United States and has practically bankrupted our government. It has done this through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it." -- Congressman Louis T. McFadden in 1932 (Rep. Pa)

"Most Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international money lenders. The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and manipulates the credit of the United States" — Sen. Barry Goldwater (Rep. AR)

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.” - Franklin Delano Roosevelt

“The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than beaurocracy. It denounces as public enemies all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.” Abe Lincoln

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." — Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President.

"History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and it's issuance." — James Madison.

"This [Federal Reserve Act] establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President [Wilson} signs this bill, the invisible government of the monetary power will be legalized....the worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill." -- Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr. , 1913

"A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world--no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." — President Woodrow Wilson

"By this means government may secretly and unobserved, confiscate the wealth of the people, and not one man in a million will detect the theft." — John Maynard Keynes (the father of 'Keynesian Economics' which our nation now endures) in his book "THE ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF THE PEACE" (1920).

"While boasting of our noble deeds were careful to conceal the ugly fact that by an iniquitous money system we have nationalized a system of oppression which, though more refined, is not less cruel than the old system of chattel slavery. — Horace Greeley

"The few who understand the system, will either be so interested from it's profits or so dependent on it's favors, that there will be no opposition from that class." — Rothschild Brothers of London, 1863

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws" — Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

Call and Email Fwank today!

Let Fwank know how you feel. Here is his site, http://financialservices.house.gov/contact.html ,
House Financial Services Committee
Democratic Staff
2129 Rayburn House Office Building
Phone: (202) 225–4247

and here is letter I sent today:

What are you waiting for? Pass HR 1207 now. The American people demand and deserve TRANSPARENCY and a FULL Audit of the FED by year end.

Fox News:

"The Federal Reserve Transparency Act would remove all of these restrictions, and allow GAO to get real answers from the Federal Reserve to protect American taxpayers," Boehner wrote.

Unfortunately for Paul, the bill appears to be idling in the House Financial Services Committee, which is chaired by Barney Frank, D-Mass. The bill has been sitting there, gathering co-sponsors, since Paul introduced it in late February.

"You've kind of got to rely on the Democratic leadership (to move the bill along)," a Boehner aide said. "I haven't heard a lot of support from Chairman Frank."

Calls to Frank's office were not returned.

Paul acknowledged that his bill hasn't advanced but said Frank has "promised" him he will deal with his bill and is willing to give it a hearing. Paul said it's easily got the "momentum" to pass the full House.

Keep your promise, give it a hearing and support its passage, otherwise we will label you a traitor and end your career in politics for good.

And my phone message for Frank was when is HR1207 going to be scheduled for a hearing? and why was the Federal Reserve/extra powers discussion pushed ahead for hearing for July 9th when this bill has a House majority of co-sponsors and has been around since February? I requested a response via phone. They will be back in session next week but you all can leave similar messages now!

I am still wondering what FWANK is still doing there

FWANK is incompetent and is representing everybody but not the american people. How could it be that he is still the Chairman of the financial services commitee is outrageous, but that Dr. Paul isn't the Chairman is beyond me

Well Massachusetts needs to get off its duff and run someone against Frank to get him out of office.

There is plenty of Ron Paul people who could replace Frank in MA so I say all of them run for office.

Regardless if Frank passes the bill or not he needs to be opposed in the elections big time, and yeah it's time to move forward and Audit, Audit, Audit.

Just more political games

Just more political games meant to pacify the masses, I would be surprised if Franks ever held hearings on HR1207 or ever intended to. In my opinion he was just buying time in order to do an end run around the bill.

While the American people may have the power of the vote, they never use it to oust these traitors come election time.

So why wouldn't they treat us like cheap whores every two years we give them what they want and then for the next two years they crap all over us. And on and on it goes, like some masochistic merry go round.

I know

Sometimes I wish I was back asleep, but then I realize how they continue to steal from us. They will get more brazen in their theft which should wake up more. Too bad it is taking so long for people to see the truth.

We are making strides, but it is taking plenty of time. I just think about how much of a lemming I was three years ago and now look at the passion I have for freedom. Once that light of liberty is turned on it cannot be turned off. People are coming around, but I fear it might be too late.

In the meantime, I will throw punches in this fight whenever I can.

Excellant find, action and idea TG!

Do you have emails?

I do not at this point

But a phone call, I have learned, it much more effective. Emails are easily deleted, but phone calls and burning up the switchboard is much louder than electronic noise.

If you come across the emails, please post them here.
