"I am so sorry I didn't vote for you!"

The following email was received in the Daily Paul's inbox:

DR. PAUL,

I AM SO SORRY THAT I DIDN'T VOTE FOR YOU IN 2008. MY FAMILY AND I WON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY CONSISTS OF 34. WE ARE ALL FOR YOU. GOD BLESS AND KEEP UP YOUR GREAT WORK.

It seems to be a common sentiment. More and more people are being exposed to Dr. Paul and his message via his post-election honeymoon with the press. As a result, more and more people are waking up. I've heard the same sentiments expressed in many a private conversation I've had with people in my area.

Wow, Thanks Michael

for this positive post. I am so happy to hear someone is waking up. Just wish people around me would just wake up a little even.

I am proud that I got 7 members of my family...

...scattered around the country to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.

They had no idea who he was, but after I informed them, they were on board!

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I would take RP....

even if he was 94 and out of his mind...still would be better than the present set of circumstances.

Yeah, I would rather have an "old kook" who is right 90%....

....of the time than a younger person who is right 10% of the time. ( I am saying 90% for Dr. Paul, just so I don't have to argue with anyone about absolutes.)

Makes me sad

How hard did we all work to get people to vote for him? How many of us spent time and money and experienced a lot of discomfort and hostility to get him elected?

Now they are coming out of the woodwork saying "I am sorry." I have friends, too, that are finally listening to him and seeing what I saw but meanwhile everything is a mess. They had to wait until the sky was falling rather than believing that it would. Too bad.

I was never interested in politics until Ron Paul. It really irked me that my friends and relatives wouldn't listen when I had never been interested in anyone before. If they cared and respected me, they would have listened. Oh well, I know we all have our stories.

Maybe this is good news after all.

I like your stories

I'm gpoing to be a Kitchen Angel at Living Light for 10 days and everyday, I will think of you, so if you don't see me here, I'm busy shredding zucchini or juicing bananas of something, inspired by you. I'm "listening".

34 converts? Not bad at all!

Thanks for keeping the candle burning, Mike.

recently my sister and her family came for a visit

my nephew made a snid remark about ron paul and his dad smiled. It was irritating because you can tell all they have been doing is watching the sheeple vision. TO make it more interesting at one time they didnt even have a tv, but he has (my brother in law) never been one to listen. Right now he is a recruiter for the army but he was a drill sargent for a while so I guess hard headedness goes with the territory.

"Same here Michael"..........

I hear a lot of people saying "I didn't know to much about him to vote."

"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."

"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."

i'm getting the same responses to the people I talk to.

I always tell people that Ron Paul was our one chance to get someone even close to Ronald Reagan. But guess what, he'd even be better in terms economics and civil liberties. Reagan attracted many freedom loving democrats during his re-election in 1984.

I pray that we have a shot at this again. If not Dr. Paul, then someone who we can get behind. It's too bad about Sanford but that's now water under the bridge.

We all know Dr. Paul would never turn his back on his principles, including his principles to his family. That's why he'll never have a Sanford moment and we can always count on him. He can't be bought and wont' sell out.

Close to Reagan? IMO, Reagan

Close to Reagan? IMO, Reagan doesn't measure up to the good Dr.
But it's awesome that people are still finding their way to Ron Paul...especially when
the election basically just ended, and all the other candidates have faded back into the woodwork, Dr. Paul is just getting stronger and stronger. Like a locamotive!

Reagan was a lying scumbag

Reagan was a lying scumbag who nearly bankrupted our nation and whose legacy is founded on simply being in the right place at the right time. If that's all that Ron Paul could offer, I sure as hell wouldn't be interested in supporting him!

You are on the wrong site my friend...

Go vote for a Neo-Con war-monger.

You obviously have no idea who Ron Paul is.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I think Gorgy is right on

Gorgy is saying IF RP was a sack of crap puppet neocon like Reagan, he would not be interested in RP.

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !

Probably this isn't news,

but recently I heard on the news that the average American is tired of Republicans and Democrats and a third party is becoming a reality.

Lets see now, Ross Perot was intimidated out of the race (body buried someplace), Ron Paul wants to be a Republican now. Hmmm... that leaves Ralph Nader who never blinked. Naw, that would be too easy, besides historically Libertarians like candidates that can't win or really don't want to.

I'm ready for a

third, fourth and fifth party. Ron paul was a no-brainer this past election but the majority of the sheeple have their heads in the sand and the rest are too scared of major change they need the government to protect them and give them a color terror level for the day. Repubs, Dems, WWE, 911 all the same, fake, phony, fraudulant.

9/11 was an inside job .....time to get some answers..RP 2012

9/11 was an inside job .....time to get some answers..RP 2012

Gotta disagree here brother...

The FEC makes it nearly impossible for an independent to effectively run on a presidential ticket. Ron is smart to "use" the republican party to further the libertarian position. What the GOP stands for today is neocons who have ruined the party to a point where it may never recover. They are certainly NOT conservative. The democrats are just as stupid if not more so. The duopoly has to end but, it will take a French revolution for that to occur. The deck IS stacked and Nader (under the so-called rules) will never see the presidency. I admire Ron for navigating the alligator filled river to get to the other side. He TRUELY cured my apathy! If not, I'd be drowning myself in a bottle of scotch instead of reading/learning and posting here.

We don't disagree

You said exactly what I was eliciting ((wink))

May your next R3volution be peaceful as possible and as bloody as required.

I agree with everything ... other than the scotch!

Absolutely

In the national elections....

Peter Schiff could run as an independent and could possibly even win.....It would take someone with the magnetic personality that Schiff has, the speaking quality of Ron Paul and the backing of all the third party movement.....

I just want Schiff in the Senate first thing....Then start untangling the Federal Reserve devil in Connecticut and handing out the prison sentences with prejudice..

Im sorry but Im from Texas

I know all about Ross Perot he was a paranoid pipsqueck who dropped out of the race when someone threatened to expose racy pics of his daughter.

That was a cover story

The IRS was on him like white on rice !

I think that is too big a generalization

I think when people really understand what is going on, they will vote Ron Paul no matter where he is. It Is Not About the Party.

Regan was the oldest elected president (69)

Paul is 74 August.

So Richard? You're a 140 just like me....

but you are still sharp as a tack....a bit of a curmudgeon....but sharp as a tack. :O

Thank you Michael

this post makes my day.
