5,000, not 2,000
Submitted by Erik_Geib on Thu, 11/29/2007 - 02:49Some goon on CNN who was assigned the task of fact-checking the candidates' claims just said that Ron Paul was 'off' in stating that 5,000 people attended the Philadelphia rally. Moreover, he claimed that CNN was there... and that it was only about 2,000.
High school football games can pull in crowds of 2,000-5,000 easily... why won't they just acknowledge that, though rare for his opponents, 5,000 people is not a difficult feat? It's fairly obvious to anyone who paid attention to the Philadelphia rally that there were easily around 5,000 there...

I thought we resolved this issue.....
The Rally Without a Doubt Was 5000 Strong.
That's from the park rangers themselves.
They have rallies and gatherings there once in a while.
We were told, judging by the square footage and the density of the crowd, 5000 was the number.
CNN is just plain wrong... I bet they showed up late.
I didnt see them there until after Dr. Paul's speech.
we may have it resolved...
....but cnn needs the good word. it would be nice to have something from the park rangers.

I was there as well
I flew up to the Philly rally from Dallas and "as far as you could see" there were people EVERYWHERE in the mall there that day! Not only that, but it was COLD up there that day and people got there early and stuck around afterwards.
Compare that to Rudy's showing this past weekend in NH that even MSBNC called "disappointing" in supporter turnout. NO ONE is getting the turnouts that Ron Paul generates!
did someone do a crowd count or estimate?
it would be nice to prove them wrong on this.

Maybe someone will do a
Maybe someone will do a montage showing the # of people, and then the CNN "factcheckers" lying about it. Can be added to the whole Hillary plant guy that was given a free 5 minute gay rights monologue.
