How to spot a troll.

After nearly 2 years of visiting this site. Nearly 1 and 1/2 years as a member.
I have decided that those who voice opinions contrary to the opinions voiced by Dr. Paul are trolls.
This is my opinion, you can agree or disagree.
Who amongst us, is older, wiser, or more experienced than Ron Paul?
I won't name names, but there are trolls amongst us.
They are easy to spot, since they try to divide, disguise, or twist the message that Dr. Paul has delivered.
If you truly believe in what Ron Paul says, then trust your hearts when a confrontational troll manifests itself.
Ask yourself, what has Dr. Paul said about that particular issue?
Armed with that knowledge, all things become much more clear.

Should we create a cult of personality around Ron Paul? Must we think only thoughts of which Ron Paul would approve?
I don't believe Ron Paul believes he is the "second coming". If someone agrees with him about everything, one of them is irrelevant. It's not Ron Paul.
If we've learned anything from Ron Paul, it's not to blindly follow authority. We should think for ourselves. We should use our brains, not follow our hearts. Afterall we're not part of the Obama Cult where Chris Matthews said Obama gave him a warm feeling up his leg. No cults for me.

Trolls and traitors are
Trolls and traitors are synonymous IMHO.
When a comment invalidates, attacks, demonizes, calumniates, bullies, deflects or any other way eviscerates an otherwise good RP type post then you can be sure the commentator is a troll and/or traitor, and works for the destruction of America. These people cannot be educated or enlightened. They are here to destroy, obstruct and cause dissension in the patriot ranks. Their ploys are diverse and usually effective because most people don't see the black art and wily ways. These people live in their egos and are incapable of seeing beyond their sensual natures. They have no insight, no heart and no love. They are guided by fear and hate. The most we can do is continue the Love revolution knowing unconditional love melts all hardened hearts, eventually.

Dr Paul is teaching us two things I think are important:
One: That liberty works
Two: That liberty is not easy to obtain and that it needs learning and thinking and that the Revolution should be an intellectual revolution.
So...
In defining a troll I would not say it is someone who disagrees with Dr Paul !!! (why can't we disagree with him ??! I really doubt that is something he would like !...)
And it is not someone in the process of learning and who can make mistakes !
It is simply someone who does not believe/care about liberty and comes here not to have a constructive discussion, but launch randoms topics.
And either way, troll or not troll... Isn't it very important to try to change his mind ? Try to tell him that liberty works ?
Subjects and messages coming from people trying to understand/learn/give their opinion about liberty are all important. Even if they do not always agree with Dr Paul.
The only thing a bit annoying is when you have 25 active threads about the same subject :} But this past few days it has stopped, so everything is fine =)

no man is a god. Ron Paul is indeed an excellent example, but I think first and foremost he'd ask that people think for themselves, that is in essence the root of Liberty.

Well, you can inform them about Dr Paul's position, and also give your personal opinion.
It's not because you are not as wise as Dr Paul that you haven't read a book or hear someone who might have a different opinion that you find interesting.
And it is interesting to have a discussion about what you've found and the questions you have. How do you want to learn if you can't look at something else, even if it is wrong ? You learn from your mistakes.
I doubt you've always agreed about what your parents said ;) But with time and maturity you see that they were right.
And once again, Ron Paul is not a god, not a prophet but only an honest human being trying to spread the message of liberty. He does not spread HIS message !
And we are all different, we have all different levels of understanding, all different opinions about numerous subjects... But we all like the message of liberty and that is what unite us !

and very contradictory to the idea of liberty. IMO the point of Dr Pauls message is our opinions don't have to agree. As long as we can agree that you have a right to your opinion.
I believe in liberty...and only having the same opinion as someone else - I don't see how that fits.
Well, the problem arises,
when people argue against the one person in this country who has done more for liberty than anyone else in our time.
We need to get back to our Constitutional roots. If people can't support the one man who best knows what that means, it is very sad. It is as if people think they know better than Dr. Paul. I certainly don't know anything compared to Ron Paul. I would like to know the resume's of the nay-sayers. Would the nay-sayer's resumes match up to Dr. Paul's resume? I highly doubt it.
We have been enlightened by a man who truly has walked the walk, talked the talk, lived by his own true ideals.

Ron Paul loves America, and those people who disagree with what Dr. Paul says, should start their own website to promote their own views of the world.

I credit my recent political awakening to RP. He has changed my mind on certain issues, and affirmed my belief in others. But I think it is hilariously ironic that you proclaim that you should, blindly, have the same opinion as one person, as if they are god or something. I don't think Ron Paul would agree with that. Ron has long stated the need to support COMPETING currencies, because he is no fool and knows that simply ending the federal reserve in one fell swoop is not the answer, but the ultimate goal.

Dr.Vieira lays out a process by which a competing currency can be introduced into circulation. The way he lays it out, it seems so simple that it is almost like teaching kindergarten.

This gave the treasury powers that had been set aside for the Federal Reserve.
Obviously, the Federal Reserve could not let this stand.

Hmmmmmmm.
Maybe the dog just grabs the cat by it's scruffy little neck, sinks its teeth in but good and proceeds to thrash it around as fast as the dog's neck, and energy level, will allow. Hopefully, he will not stop to taste the blood...until the cat is doornail dead.
Then, when all is said and done, the dog will look up from his malaise and concentrate on finding it's water bowl which someone moved to a new spot very far away. It will suck for our erstwhile pup and he will often feel thirst and sometimes rue the day he killed the cat.
Just so long as he keeps his eyes peeled for any fresh kitty's showing their tails (or tales) and stands ready to rock and roll again, he'll survive to thrive again as a bowl will ultimately be found...probably in the same old place that water bowls have been stored for all of recorded history.
His problem will come if he becomes distressed over his missing water bowl and starts asking cats where to find it.

I think thats too broad of a litmus test. I think all of the trolls are gone. I do take issue with some of the "trust no one deny everything" conspiricism and the anarchist takeover of the dailypaulblog, but whatever. I just hope we can be reasonable on conspiracies and shout down the anarchists so that newcomers will feel more welcome.
