I do not want to appear as a know it all, but I have known this for about 5 years. It was documented in the Shenandoah River it was birth control pills that pass through the sewage treament plants (some)

Today, a new study shows the the neurotoxic articifial sweeters pass through the body and makes it to sewage treatment plants with up to only 20 percent removal-- which goes into the rivers.
