Tea Parties were weak today 7/4

The tea parties today in my area were weak. Too little organization, no speaking, and mainly neocons in attendance.

It seems that the tea party patriot group has been absolutely hi-jacked as a GOP neocon mouthpiece. There were no original signs, just anti-Obama signs. The local libertarian party was nowhere to be seen. The C4L people were nowhere to be seen, except me.

I talked to many people about the S604 bill and the progress made on HR1207, but many of them don't think the fed is part of the problem. When speaking of limited government, these people just look at healthcare and marginal tax rates, never getting to the root of the problem. I seriously think today's teenagers get it more than the adults - that bankers run the world and do so at our peril.

I'm afraid that the foxnews/neocon agenda has fully infiltrated this T.E.A. movement into nothing more than a partisan bitch and gripe movement, instead of actually educating. Only positive thing I can see happening is handing out of the constitution, but no one discusses it. I started telling people everything congress does is unconstitutional, and got some wild looks.

Whenever there is a new one of these, the C4L locals and libertarian party people need to completely get involved. Many people were talking about 3rd party stuff that I spoke with, but did not have anything constructive to say other than dis on the libertarian and constitution parties.

We cannot stay apathetic!

Scoreboard Winners

4/15 - The People and the Constitution

7/4 - Glenn Beck/Hannity types and Bitchy Neocons

I'm hoping I can report sooner than later the people came back and stood up.

I Went To The Tea Party In Monterey, CA....

first person I had contact with greeted me with "Hey fellow 912er". Wrong and I squared him right away on that exposing Beck for hijacking our movement. He didn't like it too much but couldn't refute it.

And yeah it was weak, only 5 from our Meetup group showed to saturate the crowd (200+) with dvds plus fliers on 1207 and mon the 6th phone bomb to stop the Cap&Tax bill. Got to talk to quite a few people though and overall was worth driving there. Had a couple of responses that made my day and also made a couple of good contacts.

I attended my Tea Party in Las Vegas and saw the same thing you did.

Adults are hypocritical by saying teens give into peer pressure

It is adults who give into peer pressure 'left' and 'right'.

Vince Lombari said, "Fatigue makes cowards of us all." In my opinion, financial dependence (debt) and relationship dependence makes people more cowardly than anything.

People who have no debt and owned your cars and house take less shit off of people...and they are less likely to just go along with the moron/bullies at work.

But the people who have the wit and power to dominate relationships (not just managers) are very slow to give into peer pressure.

And since most adults are in debt and have little personal power, they give into peer pressure a LOT to keep their jobs, to avoid being humiliated by some family member, friend, manager, or loud mouth on the job.

That is why I say we won't get anywhere until we empower ourselves economically, and more importantly, via wit. We need to invest a large amount of time 'shadow boxing' conversations, where you have debates in your head, rehearse answers, etc. Then practice, practice, practice in real life. And I don't mean to get in people's grill (but that make be a valid tactic), but to learn a variety of discussion tactics and learn when to use which tactic.

We have gone pretty much as far as we can with flyers and donations. Even in we get our own media, we can't get much further without some real debate skill improvement in our base.

The Albuquerque Tea Party

was really good. There were a few thousand people there and the atmosphere was very positive. You could tell people genuinely enjoyed being there-it was a lot like a party. There were a lot of volunteers and everything was set up really nicely. There was face painting, pinatas, and local food vendors as well as live music and a great staging area. Me and a friend handed out a few hundred Freedom to Fascism DVDs and 99.9% of people were very receptive. I would suggest to get involved with your local Tea Party if you haven't yet. I have gotten to know a lot of really great people there and have been able to introduce them to things like 9/11 truth and Ron Paul as a result. Everyone there was against the federal reserve and big government too.

Just made a video about this

We need to get Tea Party Patriots discussing the Fed and monetary policy. Otherwise a defense of the free market really isn't complete.

Great Vlog Entry!

Is says everything that needs to be said (in under five minutes).

You were there

that is all that matters. We can no longer hope for others to aid us in our fight. We can only now look at ourselves because the fight is on many fronts, and many faces. You can only pick a focus and go for it, because it has surrounded us, so let's hope that you converted even just one, that will hopefully convert many to the message of liberty. You did a great job, if it were not for you there would have been none. Keep up the great work, and watch your own back because there maybe noone to watch it for you for now. Be a leader, even if it means being by yourself.

Thank you Sambachico...

For representing us few who get it.

I could not make mine--Had to work.

But you are right---The Neo-Cons are still dominating. They must love what Obama is doing in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

There just isn't any significant difference between the 2 parties anymore.

They are there for the $180,000 salary and nice free trips all over.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I've got to admit it was demoralizing in some ways

The encouragement by each-other on these types of formats like DP helps us stick together and gives us energy. Thanks pawnstorm.

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

?

where did you get 50k?

organizers pushing 50,000 (no I don't think it was that high)

but, there were thousands. caught a little of the live feed and Root addressed the crowd as such.
there are no firm number's that I am aware of.

Why mislead us? The article

Why mislead us? The article says only a fraction of that showed up!

You Judge A Tree By It's Fruit, NOT its Flower

There is 100,000 people in my ass right now

who gives a crap, don't worry about misleading bullcrap right now, let's worry about the fact that someone has enough proactiveness to acknowledge the fact that 50k were there. This is no time to micromanage people's comments, just get the job done Ira Freeman. I am sick of the petty bullcrap, let's worry about the important stuff, we have enough problems, period. Thanks Cyndezu for posting some motivational information!!

You should consider

having hand rails installed on your ass. You want all those people to get out safely.
O.S.H.A. regulations state, that if you have MORE than 6 people on, or in, your ass at one time, you MUST have hand rails installed.

The title to the thread said the parties were weak. The fact is 50K were not there. Sorry, but it's not motivating to me if it is not true or misleading.

I believe 100K are in your ass right now, and I think you are talking out of it too

Alaska had some good gatherings with local polititcians speaking

Good turn out, except for the church group that decided to pass out anti homosexual crap while holding confusing signs...

“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” Plato

Perhaps they..

Were trying to get over the ouster of Sarah Palin.

We had a good one with the best turnout I've seen.

Debbie

"Best turnout"? Where at? I wanna go next time!

I didn't get home until 7:00 p.m. and had to scramble to get the barbecue out before the fireworks. A few of my C4L (formerly Ron Paul 2008) meetup buddies marched in the Corte Madera parade with End the Fed signs. Still waiting to hear how that went..

Boston

maybe 1-2 thousand people. But I passed out 3-400 copies of republic magazine. People loved it and were starved for info.

That is awesome.

Tea Party here in smalltown E. Oregon was Great!

Our town has a 4th of July Celebration so many people were in our town of under 2,000 residents. However, I know many people were also camping with family or visiting relatives out of town.
I had people from 30 miles away drive there just to sign the petitions and go home. We were kept busy all day getting signatures at our table, and the most impressive fact is that we had to explain very little. These folks know about Audit the Fed and Cap and Trade!
Many people expressed their thanks to us for having the Tea Party.

Only about 35 people

showed up outside of Seattle, but it was a good bunch.I let them
all know that I was a Paul supporter and told them about Campaign For Liberty.2 said they wanted to join.My sign read-audit the Fed,support
HR1207.Most people knew about the bill and agreed. There were a lot of signs against Cap and Trade.

Maybe it was the day of choice

Many people celebrate with their families on this day. Some times it is not bad idea idea to forget where you for a day and remember where you came from so you can get energized.

The secret chimp reporting in from

Weatherford Texas well with my Ron Paul T shirt and my homemade Debra Medina for Texas Governor sign I headed down the road where the local junior college ,was having there little wingding .and in front of 300 to 400 people I stuck out like a sore thumb walking up and down the pavement..I got a very good responce of course there were some of the old guards who turned there nose up at me .But I must say I think we got a leg up on the RINOS when I didnt see one slick rick or bailot hutchinson sign.Well well are the neocons underestimating our girl?, I hope so..Anyway Mike Williams spoke and I must say I was impressed he is the railroad commissioner and he said all the right things {of course all Texas politicians say the right things its doin um is where problem comes in }.He is trying to take take hutchinsons place in the US senate .His campaign manager came right up to me and seeing I had a Ron Paul t-shirt and directly told me that alot of the Paulites were supporting Mike for senate.well of course that was news to me.Well then I made my plug asking if Mike was gonna support Debra and then he said well Rick Perry is the one whose endorsing him for Senate .Well just for SSSS and grins as Mike was leaving i aproached him and stuck my sign right in his face and said hey Mike are you gonna support Debra to which he immediatly replied "Pleaze Pleaze "and then took off like a west Texas jackrabbit.Oh well after the meeting I had many people come up to me who were very hungry to hear about Debra and told me they would look her up.And I got to know some of them very well to the point of exchanging e-mails.Folks we have a hard battle here in Texas where our little Davey girl is goin up against not one but two Neocon -giants..But if you guys will continue to keep um guessing in the online polls and throw in a few donations well go out and fighten um in the streets.

Good job with the Medina gear.

Lots of GOPers @ my local event, but not a single Goodhair/K-Bailout sign. We loaded 'em up with Medina info and quite a few stopped me to ask questions.....sweet! They were surprised the know there is an ACTUAL conservative in our governor's race and were pleased to see us already out working for her.

3 Tea Parties in 3 days handing out Medina info....I'm exhausted!
