It made me very, very sad to see that my "Ugly truth, vaccinations do this, too" thread has been deleted, yet the thread promoting vaccines and painting those of us who do not want vaccinated as "Luddites" goes around and around.
The sad truth is that the GOOD HEARTED men and women who enter healthcare are indoctrinated into AMA standards. When they have a child or niece or nephew who end up like Ian, they will be able to break their indoctrination, but not until then. PLEASE focus on HEALTHCARE FREEDOM, if they cannot come to that common ground there is a real problem.
If you love truth, please bump this thread instead. Ian's story deserves to be heard, the rantings of the AMA disciples could be left to fade away. The choice is yours, I will not self-bump this.
And if this one gets deleted also, that will be a sad commentary on what the dp has become.

Yes, Yes, Yes! This is an issue that we really need to be dealing with here. This is an issue that we should be able to unite around.
We're about to lose more than what's left of the freedom to say no to vaccinations if we don't want them. That alone is bad enough.
We're about to lose the right to forego medical insurance if we'd rather spend our money on alternative health care. The proposed health care reform includes stiff fines for not having health insurance.
We're about to lose the right to refuse medical treatments we don't want and seek alternatives that we think are better. Any kind of care that doesn't fit within the "standard of care" that the government bureaucrats tell doctors to dish out will become almost impossible to get.
We're about to lose the right to go to a health food store or the internet and buy any supplements and herbs we want. All except the barest minimum dosages of a few items will be by prescription only. (CODEX)
Unscrupulous doctors will begin taking bribes from patients who want to avoid what the "standard of care" prescribes, or who want alternatives but don't know how to get them. The more scrupulous doctors will quit in droves.
If you refuse expensive and horrific treatments such as chemo and radiation for cancer, and the bureaucrats think you probably have enough earning potential left after treatment to make the expense worthwhile, you will be required to have the treatment or you will be declared mentally ill and whisked away into the psych ward. If, on the other hand, you are deemed by the bureaucrats to be too old or too poor to be worth the expense of the treatment, you will not be able to get it even if you want it.
It may take years after the beginning of government-run health care for all this to ripen into reality, but it will happen.
