H.R. 2749: Fascist Food Bill Coming Our Way!

They've done it again! They're clearly desperate to destroy the small American farmer and organic farmers. This is Monsanto hard at work - please work equally hard at contacting your rep's and letting them know that they need to defeat this frightening and destructive bill. Here's an article about it. By the way, it comes from Prison Planet and for you people that don't like Alex Jones, try a little tolerance. After all, we share the same goals. I also want to make a note regarding the frivolous topics I see constantly posted on this site, to me, when we have draconian bills like this coming at us right and left, nobody who loves liberty would be pulling this nonsense! Again, here is the article, please read it and take action and Please keep this priority posting bumped!

Now we have to deal with the Senate...

The Bill was reported dead , but like Frankenfoods, it took on a life of its own.------

my email to Pelosi

Madam Speaker,

How is it that a bill (HR 1207) with 280 co-sponsors (nearly 100 from your party) stays indefinitely on the shelf while a bill with 5 (HR 2749) gets stuffed down our throats?

The longer you suppress this bill, the more Americans will become convinced that you're in the pocket of Goldman Sachs and their puppets running the Federal Reserve and Treasury Dept. Meanwhile, over 75% of Americans favor an audit. But hey, when did you ever care about what they think?

amazing, a bill with 5

cosponsors makes it to the floor. and a bill with 279 cosponsors does not.

I just called Pelosi...

and yelled about this complete corrupt gangster government she is running!!! I told her that she makes me sick and no wonder why her approval ratings are lower than Pres Bush! I told her "what is corruption if stopping a bill with 279 co sponsers gets stopped, and a bill with 5 gets floor is not, then what the hell is?!"

H.R. 2749

Thankfully failed to pass: The Democratic Congressional representatives in the State of Washington though all said AYE, and I think we, Washingtonians, should call them and let them know how their voting record showing that they sold out to the big agribusinesses will be put down on paper and distributed to their constituents. Perhaps in language such as : REP. SO AND SO WANTS YOU TO EAT FACTORY FARMED FOOD! HE/SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH! AFTER ALL, THEY NEED TO OBEY THE BIG AGRIBUSINESSES THAT SUPPORT HIM OR HER!

Call your rep today and let them know how you feel about their vote and how you will let their constituents know about their disgusting little alliances.

betty

Can you name names?! (I am a Washingtonian)...

because I will never let those bastards get away with this corruption!

I was listening to a daily

I was listening to a daily farm radio show today. They announced that this bill failed to pass but that it might be brought up again for another vote. This is in Iowa, a big Monsanto state.

Rosa delauro is my rep

She needs to go, on top of sponsoring this bill and being a monsanto lapdog she still will not sign on to 1207 or even give me her position on the fed, in her aid's words " we're not allowed to give her position on the federal reserve, she will get back to you." ... Well, I'm still waiting

see if your Rep voted yea or nay

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2009-657
again we oppose this bill, we want a nay vote. Let them no they had better reject this bill.

Organic food no more nutritious than conventionally grown, review finds

A comprehensive review of research comparing the nutritional content of food that was organically raised with food produced with the use of synthetic pesticides has found no significant differences between the two. Conducted by researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the study is the first to bring a heated debate over the value of organic food to a rigorous conclusion. It is published today in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Wall Street Journal gives a little better assessment

A group of British researchers concluded that organic foods aren't nutritionally superior to their conventionally produced cousins after reviewing 50 years of published literature on the topic.

However, the review didn't address any contaminants or chemical residue connected with different agricultural production methods. One of the main selling points of organic food is the absence of chemical additives.

Just called my Rep Sestak's office

I learned that he voted in favor of the bill the other day. I'm assuming nothing will stop him from voting for it again today. (But the guy who answered the phone ASSURES me that Mr. Sestak listens when he is asked to vote a certain way.)

Reading the text now- this is the bill "reported" in the house, not the one "introduced" in the house. I hope that's the right one:

They are bringing it back as soon as TODAY please see:

ps thanks for the link bdunn, you can click on: "Vote Details" to see how you Rep voted yesterday.

This is just war. US/UN are a crimial gangster cartel.

"Under this provision, farmers markets and local food sources could be shut down, even if they are not the source of the contamination. The agency can halt all movement of all food in a geographic area."

They do not want you to have money, to have land, to have an idea, unless they adulterate and rape it first.
Psychopathic paranoid preditors.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
