Marcy Kaptur makes Bernanke shake in his boots...

It's a little outdated, since it's a week and a half old or so, but here is the video of Kaptur grilling Bernanke at the Committee on Gov. Reform hearing. This is where she questions Bernanke about Fed collusion with Black Rock and other companies.
What do you guys think of Kaptur? From what I've seen, I like most things about her. She kind of reminds me of a female version of Mike Gravel. However, I was confused as to why she voted for the cap and trade bill. I thought in the beginning she stood against it. Opinions?

Thanks for the corrections.
Not from the same district.
My memory is hazy about what led to his conviction. I remember that at the time I thought yeah, he probably was guilty of corruption, but that what he did was the way politics used to be played when he was learning the trade, and such corruption would not normally result in prosecution. Only those who defy the Powers are prosecuted for such things.
Kaptur is definitely not as colorful a personality.

She knows more about the Fed than most Dems
I think she is from the same district as former Congressman "Beam Me Up, Scotty" James Traficant. He is famous for using the quoted phrase in floor speeches in which he railed against fiscal irresponsibility and against the Fed.
She definitely has a traditional democratic sensibility about a lot of issues, but she also has a conservative streak, which makes her a good match for her district constituents. I think she is pretty honest.
I also think that she has decided to pick her battles to avoid ending up like her predecessor, who ended up in federal prison due to a trumped-up scandal that amounted to nothing, because he dared to defy the Powers that Be.

Nope. Other side of state, Lucas County (Toledo) +
no
kaptur from toledo, trafficant from youngstown. wouldn't get your hopes up abput her too much- big gov. dem. through and through, no better than big gov. repubs.
trafficant was convicted of
trafficant was convicted of some sort of campaign money fraud. his ties to organized crime figures in youngstown were widely known, the stuff of legend. he was a former sheriff, real entertaining congressman though, kaptur doesn't have 1/100th of his personality.
She has here moments...

LMAO...she was implying that Bernanke is a
counterfeiter! That was subtle but very bold. Lol.

this video
This is the first time I have seen this video, or heard of Marcy Kaptur.
She seemed very sincere in her speech delivery. She is also a sponsor of HR1207. She does have a "D" in front of her name, which makes me think that she leans to the left. But, she might not be so sure anymore about Obama the Great. After reading some of the comments....Pre Planned? UMM, I don't know, but we are talking about politicians. Yes on "Cap and Trade" to me is a serious no no. Maybe, though she is starting to wake up.
Just a suggestion: How about if some people from her state, her district, call her and tell her what a wonderful thing she has done by sponsoring HR1207. Then, ask her why she voted yes on cap and trade.
Effective immediately! You can now say that you know Jack......

Has any of her (or anyone else's) blathering
accomplished anything other than try to convice you that the government pretends to contain a few good nuts? It's all a show folks. All of it. Kaptur benifits greatly from the Fed like all of the other slime. Just because she reads a nice little script you think it's all going to change. I know that's hard for you to believe, but one day you might realize that it's the truth. Americans are one gullible--and easily manipulated--lot....

A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny.

True, too true...
However, what will in fact "backfire", for lack of a better language artifact but that is another discussion, or rather cause the new cycle as it were, is the slow release of this data causing a critical mass of humans to finally take action. There are many more people awake now than the current most-public architecture will never show, but this fact will shift consciousness soon enough. And I don't mean yet another syndrome of burning and hanging other humans in the street. I mean that true power of consciousness is coming more to the forefront as part of the fundamental construction of the entire universe we play about in. This is going to be quite shocking to a lot of people, but no one is going to be ground up and spit out, unless they absolutely require the experience for whatever reason. We are truly going to globally-humanly know that we in fact have never witnessed the death of anything in this universe. We are coming to grips after several own-delineated thumps on our collective skulls through thousands of years of experience with idea of infinity.

This has all happened before and this will all happen again.

I never said I wanted to hang ALL the bankers....
Just the worst ones...A few Rothschilds and Cheneys & Wormworth's ought to do the trick.... :)
But yes, I recognize the necessity of prison time...
We've already had a ton of violence...
There's no need to treat the bankers as they would surely treat us...God shows in mysterious ways, that we can hold them to the law...without grounding them up in a mass exodus.
Prepared for questions...
Just a thought on the other side of the coin...
Supposing the chair was prepared for those questions. He answered a detailed, tricky, and vague question, with nary a breath pause! Detailed in terms of prior knowledge she utilized, tricky in terms of legalities possibly involved, and vague in terms of public understanding of the complex terms and issues.
In my mind he was prepared to parry her questions. Which begs a further question in my mind... who else may have or might yet raise, these legal and very substantive issues? In which case, for whom did this congresswoman, together with the Fed chair, prepare by preempting the issues? The Fed chair can then brush past as having already answered the raised questions, when a real inquisition arises later!

Kaptur is one of the better D's out there, no doubt.
Blackrock also recieved $1 BILLION from FEMA for 9.11 This was supposed to go to insuring the rescue workers who had to deal with the toxic rubble, instead it went to the WTC Captive Insurance Fund which SUED our 9.11 rescue workers.
Nobody has ever called out Blackrock for getting this blood money.

Bribed for that one....
And there is no excuse for that one. HR 1966 is nothing more than a destroy the 1st amendment bill disguised as a "hate" bill....
David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act needs to be vetoed and put to rest plus finished off in the senate..
She was FOR THE STIMULUS...& CAP & TRADE!!! BAD...
She, unfortunately, only voted against the BB bill, because it was perceived FOR big business. That's why I think she did what she did.
I would still fire her for voting for the STIMULUS and the CAP & TRADE....
SICKENING, and a waste of talent.
She was bribed
She decided to vote for the cap and trade bill at the last moment, after the infamous midnight amendment upped the swag for her state by $3.5 billion.
I don't think we could have prevented the stimulus....
Now that I look at it.....The bankers were twisting the arms of every member on the stimulus package....I don't think even if we had over 300 Ron Pauls in office, we could have stopped the stimulus.
The most it would have done is delay it. Boy oh boy was Rep. McFadden right when he started filing criminal charges against the Reserve....
Interesting
Here's a little more on that:
"On May 23, 1933, Congressman, Louis T. McFadden, brought formal charges against the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank system, The Comptroller of the Currency and the Secretary of United States Treasury for numerous criminal acts, including but not limited to, CONSPIRACY, FRAUD, UNLAWFUL CONVERSION, AND TREASON.
The petition for Articles of Impeachment was thereafter referred to the Judiciary Committee and has
YET TO BE ACTED ON. "

Technically...
The Judiciary could still impeach them if we could get the right congressman in office.......Thus eliminating that whole area of expertise.
I am pretty sure she was
I am pretty sure she was against the bailout and against the war in Iraq. I have seen several of her videos where I was like "damn, you go girl!" However, I am pretty sure she is a socialist. With that said, so is Kucinich. In my opinion, she is one of the "better" democrats.
