Is Ray McBerry a Constitutional Republican?
I was looking at who is running for governor in Georgia and trying to decide who I will vote for in the primary. I think I am leaning towards Ray McBerry and then Karen Handel. The other ones are Mitt Romney wannabes or corrupt.
The list of republicans running for governor and money raised:

— Nathan Deal, $974,685;
— Karen Handel, $431,178;
— Eric Johnson, $962,773;
— Austin Scott, $180,620;
— and Ray McBerry, $18,596;
Below are some of the issues taken from his site
Federal Attacks Upon our Liberties:
The constitutional Republic given us by our Founding Fathers is in great peril today at the hands of an out-of-control federal government; and our states are now the final guardians of our liberty. It is the privilege and duty of the governor to interpose himself between his people and the enemies of their liberty, even when that threat comes from a federal leviathan. As governor, I will take that stand for the people of Georgia and will invoke the doctrine of interposition on their behalf.
Taxes:
I support the abolition of both income and property taxes and the replacement of them with a state sales tax. It is my belief that any graduated tax based upon income is Marxist and should be repudiated. For this reason, vigilance must be maintained in order to make sure that whatever sales tax is put into place should not be tied to income in any way, including the use of rebates; it should be a straightforward simple tax
Privacy and Liberty:
"Privacy is one of the basic liberties that has always been a hallmark of the American way of life, even to the point that we have led the world in the introduction of the secret ballot in elections; but our privacy is under its greatest attack ever… and from within. Federal intrusions, both present and planned, are a greater threat to our liberty and privacy than any threat of foreign invasion or terrorist attack has ever been. As governor, I will work with our General Assembly, state court system, and fellow governors to reign in this invasion of privacy and liberty by the federal government and will seek to ensure that Georgia is a refuge for privacy and liberty to all of her citizens. "

Needs to be working with the C4L and the RLC if this is going to be a successful campaign....thats where his support will come from - and him and his staff need to be organizing their own money bombs....

Ray McBerry
Ray McBerry, whom I've met personally, is a constitutionalist and strictly so. Very good and trustworthy man as far as I can tell. He definitely believes in the sovereignty of the states and would not hesitate to tell the Federal Gov't to leave Georgians alone. The establishment media, which is surprisingly strong in GA thanks in part to the Atlanta Journal/Constapation, will ignore Ray, as will the Republican Establishment. Ray is by far the best man for the job and will be treated precisely the way Dr. Paul was treated on the national scene. I fully support Ray McBerry.

Yes...
Ray McBerry certainly appears to be the man. Handel is supported by the Sonny Perdue crowd (in the back pocket of Washington), and Oxendine has little record but was the former insurance commissioner (name on all the gas pumps) so he has strong name recognition. Those are apparently the two front runners.
The question is: How could we get significant name recognition for McBerry to get him in the game?

Walk your district....Yes we're talking about an entire state here, but it worked for Walkin Lawton Chiles down here in Florida.....

Looks Like A Very Strong Yes To Me.....
He identifies neo-cons for what they are, mentions the constitution as the framework that holds us together, is very strong on states rights, and brings up Ron Paul on his issues page....
From his website - "Politically, I consider myself a “constitutionalist” – that is, I strongly support a return to the original principles of our Founding Fathers. Although I am a life-long Republican, I do not support the globalist, socialist policies of either the Democrat or Republican parties at the national level; but I do feel that most Georgians who vote Republican feel about the same as myself… folks who support traditional values and a return to the Bible and the Constitution.
We are living in perilous times. The grand constitutional republic that was given to us by the Founding Fathers to preserve our ancient liberty stands on the brink of being transformed into a tyrannical empire, just as the Roman Republic of old. That's a great idea to get C4L behind McBerry. I found out about this man from a a facebook ad. He needs more attention and I know if Dr.Paul were to throw support his way then many more people would find out about him and what he believes in.
