AlterNet article "In Defense of RP"

I just got sucked in by the phony headline to read a hit piece by Joshua Holland on AlterNet. I have been a subscriber as they occasionally have worthwhile articles against the Iraq/Afghan/and potential Iran wars. I had secret hopes that we could win some Progressives(so-called) over to the RP camp, but that sly article put an end to my hopes that these hardcore Big Government folks could see past relatively minor issues and realize that RP is the best hope we all have for regaining our personal freedom and ending the NeoCon war madness.

This article is definitely NOT an honest DEFENSE of Ron Paul. It is a personal attack and calculated smear, dredging up every half-truth and attack-by-association of the Pal campaign.

Progressives just don't get it. If they had a "receptor-site" in their brains for the arguments of freedom and peaceful cooperation with other nations, they probably would already be RP supporters.

Anyone who could listen to Dr. Paul and say, "Nah!" and turn excitedly to Hillary(or whomever else) as their political answer, is missing some emotional component that allows us to instinctively tell Truth from Fantasy.

So, rather than give them the benefit of "hits" on their site, cancelled my online subscription and suggest other Ron Paul supporters do the same.

I have noticed a trend for anti-RP sites and authors to post some wild headline about RP's candidacy in order to draw us to visit their sites, for the benefit of their ratings. This seems to me to be a trap we shouldn't waste our time and energy on.

There's a folk saying that one should never argue wih a fool, because it makes two fools - or words to that effect. I'm just saying, in the case of people, who have heard RP's message and rejected it, RP supporters should just move on to find those who are open to our message.

Please don't gratify the folks at Alternet by going to see this hit piece. Do something constructive, instead, please.
