Only criticism.
I know we're trying to make the Rand Paul banner look like the Ron Paul banners of yesteryear... but the pic they chose to 'blot' makes Dr. Rand look like he has a double chin... or like Bill O'Reilly.
Can we change the banner pic to something a little more attractive before we start posting it everywhere???
(I think my biggest concern is the big line for the mouth, and the absence of teeth.)

But I love the idea, and I'll be pledging my funds for that day! :)
I agree rucdelaspook
I really like the design but it does make him look a little chubbier than he really is.You lose his likeness. I think it has mostly to do with the neck. I went in photoshop to see if I could tweak it all. It's a subtle change but I think it brings back Rand's likeness a little more:
Rand Logo Fix
It's the one on the left. The one on the right is the original for comparison. I focused mostly on the neck and defined the mouth area slightly, everything else is the same. I don't know who's in charge of this, but what do you think, is it worth a change? Or is it already being mass produced and not a big deal?
Wow, pretty substantial difference.
I like the definition in the neck, and the appearance of a smile. It's funny, it's a very subtle change, but my eye is just more moved to the one on the left.
The one on the right just looks... smashed. And then when you compare them, the neck starts to look like a beard... like he's Amish or something.
I must say, what you've done is pretty remarkable. You've turned Jabba the Hutt into Han Solo. :)
I hope the right people see this.
Thanks
Yeah when your dealing with human likenesses even the smallest subtleties make a huge difference. Your eyes are trained to read and remember faces and expressions. Even if one little thing is off it will bug your mind because it can't recognize what it's seeing. Like when someone shaves their beard or loses a lot of weight, you hardly recognize them.
Either way I think its still a great design and I want a tshirt :)
Thank you!
For the input.
The design is evolving. I can't say that I'm completely happy with it, either, but I did want to get something up to show my support ASAP.
I'm still working on it, but I've got this website to run, as well as this huge editing project that came out of the blue, and a class I'm taking, so my time is tight.
The primary is in May, and the election is in November 2010. I'll keep working on the image with the time I have.
I appreciate the honest feedback!
"WOW"
Rush.... me up folks to the new Rand Paul eVolution !!

Any winners? Any of those fresh enough for you cats? (I'll admit I ran out of ideas near the end there)
Fact is money bombs may be old but they're effective. Getting Rand past the 100k mark successfully put his name out there. They can't say Trey Grayson without mentioning Rand Paul and that name recognition is half the battle. Keep it up everyone!
Rumor is ...
that Rand is in:
http://pageonekentucky.com/2009/07/10/david-adams-on-rand-pa...
It will really help when he more publicly confirms.
In many of his appearances, especially the earlier ones, it's almost as if he went out of his way to say he was not sure.
That sends a mixed message to people.

The race is being deciding
The race is being deciding in the media right now.... It's so easy to see here in Kentucky. Money drives the media. Rand's competition is killing him in fundraising. Republicans 6 to 1. Democrats 10 to 1.
Rand doesn't even have to have a platform...they don't care! They are picking the candidates based on fundraising....

Really.
Where are the other guys getting all their money?
Maybe an audit of the Fed would reveal a few things. :P
Things like businesses, not able to get capital at critical points over the years, failing and then eventually all being bought up by others that have always been able to rely upon the Fed for cash infusions:

Wouldn't it be interesting if these same businesspeople were the ones donating all the money to candidates?
We already saw very interesting similarities in all the top donors for all candidates across the board in 2008.

Yes, the money bomb idea is
Yes, the money bomb idea is not new, but it is a good idea because it forces people to make a commitment on a given day, where they can instantanously see the results of their concerted efforts.
I don't know if I can swing fifty
But I'm certainly down for $8.20 on 8/20.

Um...
These moneybombs are getting a little out of hand. They are being used too much, plus we just had a Rand Paul moneybomb!
I'm not trying to put a damper on anybody & I'm not pessimistic
but, these money "bombs" are old. They were good the first few times, when they really were bombshells & RP had historical fundraising days, but they have lost their bang. The term has been used too much, it is overused. Yes, I know Trevor Lyman didn't come up w/ this idea, just the website, it is M. Nystroms idea aka the webmaster of this site. Participate if you wish, I'm not trying to discourage you, just that the term is old, & we wouldn't want to take away from the really successful money "bombs" that really were historical fundraising days and made Ron Paul's name famous & bought him appearances on TV shows. Let's leave the term money "bomb" alone & go w/ something else.
For some reason, we're expected to know every law that exists in America & in our state so we don't break it. We're supposed to know this when we're 18. There's no litmus test for them, as in the 10 commandments or rhyme or reason. C.U.R.E.
