I just learned that I'll be meeting with MD's Governor today. UPDATE

0 votes

Any suggestions on good questions for him?

Ok, I met withy him and other govt officials today and a group of government teet-sucking "greenies". It was nuts. Apparantly, MD has a program that gives HUGE companies free rent, lab space and many other services and has the gall to call it a business "incubator" I told them I think Colgate and Monsanto have already "hatched" and that public benefit to such huge firms is highway robbery. I cringed every time the main dude said, "the government has been very generous". Also, as should be expected, one of the key players is the local Chevy Chase Bank (soon to be Capitol One), oh and for you guys like "RedPill", the entire board is 'them'--maybe you're onto something in a way.
They were also discussing the "Green Teams" they'll be sending door-to-door starting in October to "reeducate" the public.

On a positive note, I met the guy who owns "AquaBarrell Rain Barrells", Barry. Nice guy, he's got a neat product.

Oh yeah, apparently the Gates Foundation paid an incubator company $80,000,000 for a tuberculosis vaccine. Must be really deadly---or really effective. Either way, it's safely in the hands of the eugenicists.
Hmmm, what else? The entire DC area hums. I got such a terrible headache from this odd high pitched whirr that started and ended right around the Mormon Tabernacle and effected at least everything as far in as Bethesda. I feel very sorry for those people down there, they are the worst kind of slaves. 100% domesticated. I get more funny reactions to my truck down that way too. One lady was looking over just shaking her head dissapointedly like I had run over a puppy or something. What a hoot.

Anyway. Funny day. Maryland is a total loss, I have GOT to get out of here!

Looks like You need to head

Looks like You need to head down to the south because distrust and disgust of the federal government runs rampant down here.

Amen

you got that right.....a few of us know the real reason of that so called Civil War...we didnt want the Fed in our business....Slaves didnt have a damn thing to do with it..if it did..they wouldnt have still been selling those poor people in the north.
I always heard THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN..Last time I looked at the Southern Party..(which is a group I wish would join here) I saw yankee states and western states had signed up too...

Freedom is another way to God...A corrupt government is a straight way to hell.

I believe in Hope & Change..I Hope the government will Change

Here Here!

I agree. Except for Bartlett's district, MD is a lost cause. My 7th district rep, E Cummings, doesn't even return my calls and emails. He's too busy not reading the 1300 page bills he votes in favor of. Den of thieves, all sucking up to our neighbors in DC. Much as I love the state I grew up in, I'm ready to beat feet as soon as I finish my master's degree.

I think

I think the activity in this thread is a demonstration that we should all be meeting with our representatives. It's our right, you know. Keep calling and asking to speak to the scheduler. Ask that a secretary is present to write notes.

I'm late, as usual:

But I have an opinion about O'malley. He's right there with the rest of the gov. shills. I still think MD. is a total loss and unless we can get rid of both senators and seven of the eight congress, we don't stand a chance at anything that even resembles what it should be. Shame too, because it is such a beautiful state with almost anything you would want to live around. It was always called America in miniature. In a matter of a couple of hours, you could go from back woods mountains, through great farms and plains, right to the ocean shore.
But over the years, I have watched them rip it to pieces. Especially down around the district of criminals. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.
I watched as a young person, the real estate people buy up the lands and then get in to public office so they could change the rules and make many fortunes from their developing what I always saw as some of the most wonderful stuff this country had to offer. I want out of here, and can't seem to do it.
Good luck Mike and thanks for all of your hard work.

Thank you sir. I gave 'em hell

What a scam that whole deal is. I love Maryland too for the same reason (America in miniature), but I realized today after considering it for a very long time, that I can't live here anymore. It's gone. The beauty is still there, but you're right--they are ripping it apart. My country home is now in yuppieville and I can't take it anymore.

Anyone know of a house with a few acres and a couple outbuildings for rent in maybe Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, or Missouri?

I'm with ya Mike:

I have been trying to sell my house for a few months now, and even below what I should be asking. Nothing. I have always wanted to go to the mountains again. Maryland has been so corrupted for so long, I can't imagine what to do about it. They make up the new rules as they go along so you never know which way to turn to fight them. Every time you think you can make even the smallest of improvement, wham, they slam us with a whole new avenue of oppression. From the top, all the way to the bottom. Every local seat is loaded with the good ole boys, and if your not in the club, you are out the door.
I have watched my small town elect the same two people as mayor for 13 years and then listened to everyone complain about them. Some changes in city council seats, but mostly the same people. Then they want to micro manage everything. 10 police chiefs in 12 years. Money designated for one thing, then used for another. In our economic, financial, and well, pretty much all freedoms, were are only behind NY. and CA. No one here wants to stand up and fight and the few of us that do, can seem to make any progress at all.
The one thing I am grateful for is that I am in Roscoe Bartlett's district.
It's depressing, but I won't stop. Mikulski and Cardin are sick of hearing from me. After I let them know that they are so full of barnyard excrement and that I was not one of the idiots that didn't know the truth, they don't even reply with the gibberish that they used to.
Well, I got that off my chest and it was just a little therapeutic. Keep up the good fight.

A couple things for ol Marty...

1. How are the "Lexus Lanes" coming?
They've blown billions on a concrete monstrosity by Whitemarsh so the wealthy can avoid traffic. 3 years later and it's still an unfinished mess.

2. Why are the dogs after Mayo?
Mayo Shattuck, one of the bright bulbs in MD and the CEO of Constellation Energy, made a couple million last year doing his job - somehow spawns a state senate witch-hunt. What gives?

3. How did the mayor of the "City that Bleeds" ever become Governor??

thanks,

ps. Please tell him I really admire the ol bait-in-switch routine on the Easy Pass!!

Tell him this

Tell him to read Radley Balko's latest at Reason and then ask him to rein in the Prince George County SWAT team before somebody gets killed!

...

I live in Maryland.

Recenlty slots were aproved for a select group of places. Note that gambling was not made legal and slots were not made legal. This is a special privledge that was granted to a few organizations with political ties that were choosen by politicians. This was also implemented with an amendment to the Maryland constitution, not normal legislation. That would make it much harder to change then regular legislation. Slots were also proposed by the previous administration and they were shot down.

Here are some questions:

Why was this done via a constitutional amendment?

Why were a few select organizations choosen instead of making slot (or gambling) legal for all similar organizations?

What changed from the last administration aside from the governor's political party?

Here's a question:

At what point is the governor going to consider reducing the size of government within the state and get off the stupid educational agenda? Why waste money pushing kids through a practically useless secondary education when tax payers can start getting some of their money back in their pocket? Yeah, slots were voted in but the money doesn't seem to be rolling in anytime soon ("NIMBY" seems to be the problem with that issue).

Furthermore, furloughs may help keep jobs (stimulus money does help fill the holes that might otherwise have been a problem too), but this short term solution only puts aside the issue till the next term (which is coming up fairly soon).

When's he going to realize that not only are residents being stripped of their income tenfold at the federal, state, county, and local level, but those revenues are going to really fall short and the state of Maryland will have some real problems?

As much as I would love no taxes, this state is too damn dependent on them to cut the drug cold turkey so some amount of cutbacks needs to happen sooner rather than later.

BTW, tell him to get rid of the MSA's. They are a waste of time and resources for teachers all around the state, not to mention, the damn things should NOT apply to kids with special needs. This equality ideal is embarrassing and kids with learning disabilities should not have to be put under that type of stress (they all practically fail it, and the state expects that - which is why they make them take it again with assistance to see if they could pass it). That time could equally be used on practical knowledge and life skills, more speech therapy, etc. Efficiency, O'Malley, efficiency is key.

Definitely do not take such an opportunity for granted ...

Mr. Lawson. For starters, any question regarding promises not kept by the current adminstration to our failing monetary system will do.
Most anything you can find from any of Ron Pauls writings is enough to cause a stir.
All in our area will be thinking of you. And yes we will help on the bail if needs be. Might as well, every one else is getting bailed out.;) The Chicago Cubs will be next. What a joke our government is today.
Continue marching freedom fighters.

Ask him how many vehichles he wants done

Bring your portfolio and offer up a Maryland Flag or something

He appears to be a BIG TIME UN Agenda 21 idiot, so I would ask him how smart is smart growth when it's following the UN Agenda for a 21st Century which has brought us wars, famine, viral and bacteria outbreaks, fewer consumer protections and stripped us of our rights under the Patriot Act. Where did the word "smart" come in from something so dumb?

From his page: The Governor’s announcement came after a walking tour of local development projects in downtown Cambridge.

“Focusing investment in Maryland’s great neighborhoods and existing communities is critical to achieving smarter growth in our State,” Governor O’Malley said on Sunday in Cambridge, announcing the Smart Site designations and the funding for Cambridge’s Smart Site project, the Green Workforce Housing Initiative. “Even in difficult economic times, and perhaps most especially, it is important that we and our local partners focus on the best projects that can revitalize business districts, enhance transit hubs and encourage private investment in those communities that need it the most.”

if the government feels any responsibility for cutting back programs and expenses considering ordinary citizens have to cut back.

Ask him if Maryland has

Ask him if Maryland has something similar to the MIAC Report.

Realdeal..they certainly do!!

Remember all the past posts on the Maryland Fusion Center abuses ?

Here is a great letter that Amica wrote regarding Maryland ( and other states) legislation on fusion centers! (BTW I just got back from meeting with her today as she is on vacation near here! What a wonderful treat! )

"I think we are living in a world of lies: lies that don't even know they are lies, because they are the children and grandchildren of lies." ~ Chris Floyd

Girls, you just took the

Girls, you just took the words out of my mouth...so here are my questions for Martin:

1. How about some accountability for the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center? Funny thing how the ACLU brags so much about HB 311, the Freedom of Association and Assembly Protection Act, which conveniently left out any protections concerning the sharing of police spying data to fusion center databases. So can we get a better bill next time?

2. Why did you take that federal stimulus money? Couldn't you have cut the budget instead? Oh yes, I know, you "cut" the budget by eliminating unfilled jobs. How about that increase in the sales tax? What's next, taxing Old Bay, crabs, Natty Boh and Berger's Cookies?

3. Can you help us out with that crazy mayor lady you left us with? She is corrupt...steals gift cards meant for Christmas gifts for poor children in Baltimore...and she is certifably insane. BTW I base this opinion on good inside information. Sheila has got to go.

4. How soon can you go back to just singing in that Irish band? I have some of your CDs and you are a much better singer than you are a governor.

5. Oh yeah, while I'm that subject, how about when you visit my neighbors (your former band members) every Christmas and Thanksgiving, try to come in a less conspicuous vehicle. Everybody knows it's you dropping by in the black Cadillac Escalade SUV. Something older and more beat up would fit better in our neighborhood here in the third councilmanic district. You *do* remember what it was like in the dim reaches of time when you were just our little local councilman, don't you? I thought it rocked when you got us our speed bumps. How about coming back and getting hard at work fixing potholes and getting our street plowed when it snows?

6. How about those Baltimore cops, hon? Still busy spying on peaceful protestors and not busy solving crimes? Since you left Walther Avenue, things have gone to hell. Within eyeshot of your old house, a man was shot to death in front of several horrified witnesses. A good friend of mine witnessed the guy bleeding out on the sidewalk, as the police and ambulance took too long to respond. Shootings and breakins in the third councilmanic district have skyrocketed. But if that police car were still sitting in front of that house on Walther Avenue 24/7, as it was while you were mayor, hmm...things would be a little safer on *that* block, anyway...

7. Did I already say you are a really good singer? And that you would have more time to pursue your passion if you resigned? We here in Lauraville would love to book O'Malley's March for the festival in the fall...we know you miss the ol' folks in the 'hood, hon. Be sure to wear your muscle shirt, 'cause we girls love to see you that way.

Troy, I don't have a resume or a job; I'm self-employed.

They must have one because...

Tell him that if he supports

Tell him that if he supports a few key issues like no pre-emptive war, sound money, and low taxes, we will put him in the white house.

bring in your resume

ask him for a job.

Ask him if he will support liberty minded candidates...

for MD state offices. If it is the Governor I think it is, then he is very libertarian in his approach.

Governors are in a great postion to help state office candidates raised money and get plugged in. Be a little bird that this could be a very significant way for him to help the cause of liberty.

Ask him if he is a member of

Ask him if he is a member of the CFR. If he says yes, ask him how he can serve two masters.

Three, cause he's Catholic...although it seems like the CFR and the Pope answer to the same people these days.

Ventura 2012

Ask him if he has ever heard these famous quotes about

The Federal Reserve. (Print out plenty of copies for everyone there) Then ask about States Rights superceeding Federal. Then ask if he understands fractional reserve banking.

"It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and
monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." — Henry Ford

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and the corporations which grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their father conquered.” - Thomas Jefferson

"We have, in this country, one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board. This evil institution has impoverished the people of the United States and has practically bankrupted our government. It has done this through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it." - Congressman Louis T. McFadden in 1932 (Rep. Pa)

"Most Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international money lenders. The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and manipulates the credit of the United States" - Sen. Barry Goldwater (Rep. AR)

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.” - Franklin Delano Roosevelt

“The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than beaurocracy. It denounces as public enemies all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.” - Abraham Lincoln

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." - Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President.

"History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and it's issuance." - James Madison.

"This [Federal Reserve Act] establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President [Wilson} signs this bill, the invisible government of the monetary power will be legalized....the worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill." - Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr. , 1913

"A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world--no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." - President Woodrow Wilson

"By this means government may secretly and unobserved, confiscate the wealth of the people, and not one man in a million will detect the theft." - John Maynard Keynes (the father of 'Keynesian Economics' which our nation now endures) in his book "THE ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES
OF THE PEACE" (1920).

"The few who understand the system, will either be so interested from it's profits or so dependant on it's favors, that there will be no opposition from that class." - Rothschild Brothers of London, 1863

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws" - Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

Dude

What's up with that? Give us the full report when you get back.

Here's my general question for all government: "What are the limits? In your opinion, are there any?"

Ask him if he has ever read y'alls state anthem.

"What was taken from the boomers, it ain't there, what was taken from the X'ers it ain't there, what is being taken from their great, great, great squared grandchildren it ain't there. Some generation just has to have the guts to quit passing it on." Me

Just kidding, it's a reception for a couple of green businesses and I'm one of them. I'm not like the other hippies though. He'll find that out today. I dare him to speak well of the stimulus or cap and trade.

I may need bail tomorrow guys.
