Today's Victims: Congressman Mark Kirk R-IL10 and Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson R-MO8. These two are the only two Republicans left who are not cosponsoring the bill. Let them know!

Florida Reps
We are at 19 out of 25 Florida Reps now. Thank you all so much! I know the DPers hit Lincoln Diaz-Balart up and he then signed on. Great job! Tallahassee area Democrat Allen Boyd also just signed on. If I know you guys, I bet he was a target too. So, great job on him too!
Now, Dr. Paul is coming to Orlando in 21 days to speak at The Florida Liberty Summit. We would love to tell him we have all 25 Reps on board. I believe all 6 remaining Reps are Dems so we need all the help we can get. To multiply our efforts, we have also made friends with Rep. Alan Grayson's office, the Democrat who grilled the Federal Reserve Inspector and created a YouTube sensation. Without his open letter to his colleagues several weeks ago and recruiting co-sponsors on the floor daily, I think our efforts would not be as multiplied. Yes, we are ignoring his votes we disagree with for now. So, we will keep leaning on his office to get the last 6 Florida Reps. Would you all please consider putting those remaining 6 Florida House Reps on the docket over the next 2 weeks as well?

I've always wondered the same thing. Considering whenver I look there are over 400 users online, I like to think that at least 100 people send a fax ever day. Hell, it only takes a minute of your time using faxzero. 1 minute doing this can lead to great success!

If you are a Republican Precinct Captain...
then you of all people should contact them!
In my faxes and phone calls I tell them that I am a Republican Precinct Captain in Kentucky and it's in that capacity that I am contacting them. (obviously doesn't work with Democrats).
Yes they are giving precedence to constituents in their districts and they should. They are also Republicans as well and their staffers in their home offices are much more in tune with the local political gamesmanship so that's where I, as a non-constituent Republican Precinct Captain from a different state can have some influence.
Also, find out the contact info for the County Republican Parties in their districts. Start emailing their Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen and ask them for their help. They've got the email contacts of their local Republicans, the vast majority of which have no clue about this effort. Again, you contact them in your capacity as a Republican Precinct Captain.
I did this in Hal Rogers' district and got positive replies from several County GOP Chairmen. Rogers signed on a few days later.

Then only problem is that only 2 republicans remain on the list. People from those states should use this tactic. This will come in handy on future legislation. I think your strategy worked on Hal Rogers.

Can someone please explain what the procedure is for contacting someone outside my district? Do I have to use a fake address?

Just use what ever congressperson's address to send email's as your address, It works for me and I'v gotten many return emails for them so far.

an address in thier district .For instance would google norfolk virginia post office to get a certain list of post offices

Their systems aren't that smart and I would bet that the person on the other end of your email isn't scrutinizing each senders mailing address.
If you read the disclaimer on the Congresspersons site, it says that they can't REPLY to you if you don't live in the district. It doesn't say anything about not reading the emails of people from other districts.

HR 1207 with at least 290 votes. It will be very difficult for the senate to justify killing the bill in the senate. It would be political suicide for them!
Kirk's excuse??
Could this be one of the reasons Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL10) is not on board? Does he think it could hurt his chances of taking Obama's Senate seat in 2010?
He's a lover of the Patriot Act, RealID and more... We're gonna have to turn up the heat on this one.

I know Bunning had said he showed interest in the bill. We included him in a phone bomb two weeks ago or so with Lindsey Grahm who also said he was showing interest. Neither have given any feedback yet, so we'll see. By the way, after the 5 cosponsors that joined 1207 yesterday, I think that brings 3 more states to the 100% mark. Kentucky, Nevada, and Arizona! This is great progress!
