Are we starting to see the next wave of foreclosures?

I've been following MD foreclosures for about a year now and several days ago noticed the number of foreclosures going up after seeing them fall in recent months. Today I saw this about a big MD foreclosure wave happening now:

In fact, it was that inc in MD foreclosures that got me started searching for news of another wave of foreclosures. Just a couple days ago, I posted this to the DP about the Chicago Tribune running a story early this month predicting the next wave of foreclosures across the nation to be coming soon.

If this takes off as predicted, the green shoots of the false prosperity will wilt.

I first heard about waves of

I first heard about waves of future foreclosures years ago, The political powers must have known this was coming for a long time. I think they got it down to a formula, they must by now. The way everything plays out and everything they do makes it look like it's designed to take us down with precision.

The Alt-A and Pay-Option

The Alt-A and Pay-Option ARMs are going to reset over the next year. This should be even bigger than the sub-prime resets.

Repeal the 17th Amendment!

Yes, and I'm probably on it :(

Under Pressure

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

Oh no. But you may be able

Oh no. But you may be able to get something cheap but decent at hud.gov. Click hud homes on the left side.

The homes have appraisals

The homes have appraisals you can view on line to see if they are worth another look, but the appraisal is not a warranty.

I have another..

The green shoots are total

The green shoots are total bull. The unemployment rate keeps going up and it will get worse. A major part of our economy is consumer spending and with unemployment going up I don't think people will continue to spend. The savings rate of Americans is going up and will continue to go up. I am currently working like mad and saving every penny I can get. The good part about this situation is its changed my mind set and has shown Me the difference between a need and a want. I can imagine plenty of other americans out there have come to the same conclusion. So yes foreclosures will continue to rise and I wouldn't be surprised if home prices fall over 100%

Employment is the lagging

Employment is the lagging indicator. The easy credit gets people spending, buying more homes, etc, which gets money circulating and leads to companies hiring. In some data it looked like the false prosperity was starting to happen with home prices rising and reports of retail sales up.

Employment rising would be the only thing that could blunt the second wave, but it looks like it won't have a chance. This could be what sends the economy spiraling down and causes the house of cards to topple.
