Ron Paul: Opening Statement on Honest Money

I love what Ron Paul does and I admire his integrity and dogged determination.

Of late, though, he seems tired, worn down and not as able to articulate.

Does anyone else see this?

Dr Paul, do you need a holiday? Or TLC? Please, someone, everyone, help to give Dr Paul a break. The world needs him!

you know sometimes when you go to church, and you hear a different message than your husband, kids, friends etc. The spiritual translation in your own heart, it's just like that when I hear him speak, words of true freedom and liberty.

Now don't think I am worshiping Ron Paul, I'm not though he is high on the list....

by Tom LaMar- Dr. Paul's ideas are bold, needed, and refreshing, but I would like to know why he wants to return to a gold standard? Should not the value of a nation's money depend on it's GNP/GDP and savings and gold, silver, etc....so that the successful, frugal, productive nations have the best currency valuations? Adjustments to the amount of money could be made according the fortunes of the named country with the most productive being the richest. This would mean that the GNP/GDP would always tend to be in balance with the money supply, lessening inflation/deflation. Undeveloped resources would not count as they are not "liquid" enough, but rules would have to be set up to cover various "degrees of manufacture" of goods...and services (say..the quality of doctors or purity of silver, etc.). The valuations necessary would be difficult, but not impossible; that is what negotiations are about. When Ron Paul talked about the Mexicans being able to save Silver in a bank to preserve their wealth he hit on a very important topic, in my opinion.

Why?

Because every paper currency in the world is losing value or purchasing power, while the Silver has tripled in currency values over the last 8 years.

If Americans had simply saved physical Gold/Silver for their retirements over the last 8 years, most would be much better off than they are with dollar denominated retirement plans. Calipers of California is a good example.

We have the power to change ourselves.

We have the power to share what we have learned about history & the Oligarchy, the Bankers and Fascist corporations to our friends, family, & everyone who we talk to.

I have a few questions about the private Federal Reserve Bank and the legal standing they might enjoy as a private enterprise; with real property and intellectual property rights. What is the actual contract between the US Government (Congress) and the Feds? Is the contractual arrangement essentially spelled out in title 31 of the United States Code? Does the fed have to allow the “audit”, if H.R.1207 is successful (I don’t think the government should be able to force any private entity to do what is not in an original contract)? Of course, if they were unwilling … then “END THE FED” would be easier to accomplish. Is the Fed doing anything that is possibly illegal as set forth in our contract with them? At this point I believe investing in companies that make paper shredders might be a good idea … is there any legal method to ensure the survival of historical information/transactions with the Feds (injunctions) … does our current contract allow for document safety and penalty for destruction? I apologize in advance if these issues have been elucidated previously … I don’t always take the time to read all the comments. Also, I haven’t seen anything on Daily Paul about H.R. 3129 (to stop US funding of the UN in regards to Climate Change) … I would suspect that most on this site would agree to stop total funding, let alone just a very small part – but it is a start.

Ron Paul also mentioned the devastating nature of stimulous and enabling the special interest, over and over again.
These oligarch's have an insidious and destructive history. During the last 30 years, "they" have enabled the "super preditor" called Monsanto and others to become super sized, enabling environmental rape and pillage, and military forced migrations leading to local extinctions, globally.
They are rampaging blind rhinos.
I hope, that when we get control of balanced means of exchange, that it enables the good fight, for what that means to you.
When you wipe out the small family farmer, you wipe out the middle class. When you wipe out the middle class, you loose the best defense against environmental degradation, the hands on stewardship of the small family farmer.

Audio doesn't work for me.

I understand most people will be able to hear it, but this is about the 4th time I have had to watch a Ron Paul video about the Fed on an alternative internet connection. Every time it happens I see comments that a select few are also having the audio problem. Just throwing this out there.

The problem has nothing to do with my computer or any of my settings on my end. I can watch it and listen to it fine on the same computer over my mobile broadband.

Maybe somebody could download the video from youtube and put it up on another account to see if it still happens.
