. . . candidate. Courtesy of Lew Rockwell.com, here's a post by someone who's thinking exactly what I was:

Ron Paul Subverts The Fed

Writes Mac Beaulieu:

During the primaries, when it was clear that he had done all he could do, Ron Paul went back to Washington to continue his work. Many, MANY vilified him for not filing a (certainly failing) independent bid for the White House. I think it’s clear that Paul made the right decision, not by chance, but by his own shrewdness: he knew darn well what he had started was just gaining momentum and that his most important work — and real success — was still to come.

That nails it, in my opinion.

As long as our political

As long as our political system has a bias against third parties, we have no choice but to use our two-party system.

If third party candidates weren't at a political disadvantage, I would be all for changing "teams"...

However, at the end of the day, the most important thing is to spread the message. So it really doesn't matter whether someones name has a (D) or and (R) in front... It's all about the message and philosophy.

Ron Paul is smart for running as a Republican. Very smart.

I always knew

not running third party or independent was the right thing for him to do.

I'll second that.
