The Last Hour
"Meanwhile, Ron Paul, a frequent critic of the president, did praise President Barack Obama for his diplomatic work on Iran and expressed concern that Congress could get in his way.
“I think under the circumstances it’s a great breakthrough. And during the campaign you heard me say it very often, we ought to do more diplomacy and less shooting from the hip,” Paul said.
A 12 year old Canadian boy passed away from a severe asthma attack, which could have been avoided if the inhaler his doctor prescribed had been on hand, instead of in the Principal's office under lock and key.
Such a tragedy could have also been avoided if the school hadn't confiscated all of his spare inhalers.
Does anyone still trust public schooling? If so, why?

A town with a mortality rate 80 times higher than elsewhere—and the willful blindness of the locals, except for one person.
The truth about whistle-blowers—and why they do what they do. Turns out they’re not crazy; the rest of us are.
Mark Zuckerberg on why to learn to code
When I first started Khan Academy I managed to pull the site together with some pretty rusty coding skills I had picked up in high school and college. The founders of Facebook, Instagram, and Google all similarly started their journeys with just one line of code. That’s how all great projects start out and anyone can learn to do it!
Chambersburg, PA residents voted Mayor Pete Lagiovane (D) out of office on November 5th after he signed up to be part of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG).
Hello, RON PAUL RVOLUTION!
Reading all these articles on Bitcoin (Pro or Con, it does not matter to me) I came across a post of someone mentioning if Michael would accept Donations in Bitcoin and that if Michael did, he would donate to The Daily Paul.
That got me thinking:
Michael is such a truly special guy, he has been so nice to all of us creating and running this website for all these years, so kind and welcoming of EVERYONE.
Michael created a home for all us and he is the kindest of hosts and has never asked anything of us, yet he gets requests to do this and do that.
I was walking home one evening and came upon a clearly depressed man standing at the edge of a bridge, looking like he was about to jump. I called out to him to wait, and ran over to see what was the matter.
"It's this country," he lamented. "It's falling into ruin and there's nothing I can do about it. The election was the last straw. I don't want to live on this planet anymore."
"Well cheer up," I said. "We're all in this together. Say, are you a conservative, or a libertarian?"
"A libertarian," he said.
[No mention of guilt, only feeling low.]
NSA morale down after Edward Snowden revelations, former U.S. officials say
December 7, 2013
Morale has taken a hit at the National Security Agency in the wake of controversy over the agency’s surveillance activities, according to former officials who say they are dismayed that President Obama has not visited the agency to show his support.
A White House spokeswoman, Caitlin Hayden, noted that top White House officials have been to the agency to “express the president’s support and appreciation for all that NSA does to keep us safe.”
