Three Poems, Then I Go

Let it go
The path
Let is snow
Don't get buried
To the other side, ferried
Don't get Rick Perried
Stuck On a stage
Owned, and afraid

To home
The path is paved
Don't fight
Or throw arms
Take flight
No harm
To Self
Restore Wholeness
Store up
New wealth
To give
We Live

A study in contrasts
Spending a lot of time
Listening to St Paul
Who's truths, are many
And Nietzsche, too
Who's truths are plenty

Study in contrasts!

So different
Two poles
Of one human soul
One extols
The virtue
Of self sacrifice

The Genocide Escalates in Palestine. Israel Apologists in FULL Propaganda Mode.

It is sickening, I have posted a couple very innocuous articles on Facebook about the Israeli attack on the Palestinians and I have been viciously attacked within seconds by the Israeli apologists. Meanwhile, the social media pages are alight with the Israeli propaganda.

I come to the Daily Paul expecting to see some conversations going on about this civilian massacre and nothing... Is the Daily Paul being silenced as well?

Why Doesn't George Takei "Hate the State?"

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi

In a recent TED talk, actor George Takei gave a speech recounting the tale of how, at the age of five, he and his family were taken to internment camp for Japanese Americans during World War II. While Takei's story is frightening from a historical perspective, his attitude that developed from this traumatizing experience is truly inspiring. I highly recommend watching the 15 minute or so talk, and we'll pick up down below.

By all rights, George Takei should have every reason to "hate the state" for what the U.S. government did to him and his family. Forcibly removing the Takei family from their property and placing them in detention is an absolute affront to every ideal America is supposed to value. It could have easily made George Takei into a jaded, bitter anarchist who wants to burn all of the world's governments to the ground.

And yet, as he grew up and had discussions with his father, he came to realize that hate was not the proper path, and that he could still stand up for the same ideals he believed in despite the tragic events that occurred to him. George says his father told him,"Our democracy is a people's democracy; it can be as great as people can be, and as fallible as people are."

Video: Flying Illegals Home Would Be 99.5 Percent Cheaper Than Obama’s Plan

By Ernest Istook | Washington Times

We taxpayers are expected to house, feed, clothe and care for almost 30,000 illegal aliens for a full year, according to the White House’s official request. That’s a small city.

Instead, we could fly all of them home for one-half of 1 percent of the $3.8 billion that President Obama proposes we spend. That’s a savings of 99.5 percent!

Abu Khdeir, Murdered Palestinian Boy Was Forced to Drink Gasoline, Then Burned to Death

This is so disgusting, I really have nothing to say. How sick.

According to Palestinian public prosecutor, the findings of the autopsy were that Abu Khdeir was struck on the head and then burned to death: there were signs of ash in his lungs showing that he was alive when his body was incinerated. The police investigation determined that the youth was forced to drink the gasoline used to set his body alight.

Source: Obama Gives Murrieta Area ICE Agents Stand Down Order - Put On Paid Leave

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement employee claims that the Obama administration has handed a number of ICE agents in the Murrieta/LA area paid temporary leave, a move that will exacerbate the mass influx of illegal immigrants into the region.

Liberty News’ Eric Odom, who is currently on the scene in the flashpoint town of Murrieta, says an ICE employee who lives in Orange County told him, “the Obama administration has furloughed Murrieta/LA area ICE agents full time until further notice,” but that the agents would continue to receive full pay.

First Factions Fight Club

Thanks to Bill3 for reminding us what Fight Club is NOT about. Factions Fight Club is not about name calling. Leave that to the little children.

If there is one misunderstand, then there may be more. Therefore, the First Factions Fight Club (F4) will be an examination of the definition, nature, and function of factions.

At its most basic level, a faction is a group within a larger group. Factions themselves can contain sub-factions: Groups within groups within groups.

What My Family Did This Past Memorial Day Weekend

I have been debating posting this for the past couple of months (it's difficult to decide whether to become 'un-anonymous'), but I'm so proud of my children and their hard work. We went to Branson to compete in a bluegrass competition. We didn't win, but we made a lot of friends and seemed to really resonate with the crowd. :) Our band name is Resonating Grace.

Outside of eternal salvation, my family is the biggest gift I've been blessed with.

Hope you enjoy!

"We came outside and saw a police officer with a gun in his hand..."

According to reports, an officer with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department was called out to a local coffee shop Wednesday after the shop’s owner spotted a “suspicious” van in the parking lot. The van, owned by Craig Jones, allegedly matched the description of a vehicle in a child luring case.
