Washington (CNN) -- Jeb Bush is the clear Republican presidential frontrunner, surging to the front of the potential GOP pack following his announcement that he's "actively exploring" a bid, a new CNN/ORC poll found.
He takes nearly one-quarter — 23% — of Republicans surveyed in the new nationwide poll, putting him 10 points ahead of his closest competitor, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who tallied 13%.

The Path. - Walk with me, through the forest of life.

(bigmikedude goes Bonzai)

Today was overcast and wet. A good day to study the half dormant herbs in the herb garden, choose the most uniquely shaped, uproot them, clip and shape them, and then reflect, rearrange, and create. I await its sprout to life.

What can one gain from Rosemary, Sage, Oregano, and Thyme?

Much more than you might think.

I call the Bonsai "The Path" - Because its path forks in the forest of life, leaving one to choose.

I call the words (scripted at the tops of the pictures) "The Forest of Life."

Come, walk with me, through the Forest of Life.

False Flagging the World towards War. The CIA Weaponizes Hollywood

By Larry Chin Global Research, December 27, 2014

Excerpt from

"This project, from the creation of The Interview to the well-orchestrated international incident, has been guided by the CIA, the Pentagon, and the State Department from the start. It is propaganda. It is a weapon of psychological warfare. It is an especially perverted example of military-intelligence manipulation of popular culture for the purpose of war.

There is nothing funny about any of it.

2014: The Year Propaganda Came Of Age

-- Snip --

"2014, in my eyes, has been the year of propaganda outdoing even its own very purpose, and succeeding too. We are supposed to be living in a time of the best educated people in the history of mankind, and everyone thinks (s)he’s mighty smart, but precious few have even an inkling of a clue of what transpires in the world they live in. Talk about a lost generation. Or two.

We really need to question the value of higher education, if all we get for it is a generation of people so easily duped by utter blubber. What do they teach people at our universities these days? Certainly not to think for themselves, that much is clear. And then what is the use? Why spend all that time raising an entire generation of highly educated pawns, sheep and robots? I can think of some people liking that, but for society as a whole, it’s devastating if that’s all higher education is.

Stephen Anderson, Ex NYPD Cop: We Planted Evidence, Framed Innocent People To Reach Quotas

by Trymaine Lee | Huffington Post

A former New York City narcotics detective testified in court that planting drugs on innocent people was common practice, a quick and easy way to boost arrest numbers.

According to the New York Daily News, the practice is known among NYPD officers as “flaking,” and officers in Brooklyn and Queens narcotics squads were doing a whole lot of it.

Stephen Anderson, the former detective, was snared along with a group of other officers for “flaking” four men in Queens back in 2008. He is now cooperating with prosecutor’s and is spilling the beans on the crooked practice of framings and false arrests, often to reach arrest quotas.

U.S. Should Close Bases on Okinawa: Bring Troops Home and Let Japanese Defend Japan

The U.S. is over-burdened militarily and effectively bankrupt financially, but Washington is determined to preserve every base and deployment, no matter how archaic. Such as the many military facilities in Okinawa, which risks sinking under the plethora of American installations, runways, materiel, and personnel. No wonder the Okinawan people again voted against being conscripted as one of Washington's most important military hubs.

Repeat: North Korea Was NOT Behind the Sony Hack

As reported earlier on the Daily Paul. Now multiple security experts who discredit FBI findings and reveal that a studio insider named 'Lena' may be responsible, according to the Daily Mail:

  • The FBI last week announced that they had discovered conclusive evidence proving the North Korean government was behind the Sony hack
  • President Obama then attacked the country for their behavior during a news conference, and informed them that the United States would retaliate
  • Now, the findings of the FBI are being called into question by many of the cybersecurity industry's leading experts
  • What's more, after an independent investigation, Norse has determined that they believe a woman named 'Lena' is responsible for the hack
  • Almost every expert stated that they believe the hack had to have been an inside job

By Chris Spargo | The Daily Mail
26 December 2014

The FBI just last week confirmed what many Americans already assumed to be a forgone conclusion when they revealed there was conclusive evidence that North Korea's government was behind the hacking of Sony, an attack the government bureau said was carried out as a way 'to inflict significant harm on a U.S. business and suppress the right of American citizens to express themselves.'

Daily Paul 2015: Year In Preview

I woke up with this thread on my mind, logged on and found jrd's "Year in Review" thread. That was fascinating to me, and made me hope my idea will be found worthwhile.

There is a definite trend toward "higher consciousness" battles, and some feel politics is part of the battle and some feel politics is not a battlefield worth fighting upon. It seems to me that the folks inclined to politics cannot find anything good to say about the ideas put forth by people seeking spiritual growth, and those trying to grow spiritually have little use for politicians. Do we have common ground, or is the DP now a bit schizophrenic? My goal with this thread is to find the common ground, set our collective intent (oh yes, I did say "collective") and see if we can get something awesome done in 2015.

I will post, as a reply, the 3 best ideas I know of for achieving "justice and liberty for all." I ask everyone on DP to do the same. Maybe we can find a dozen or so projects that we can work on as a group. It is not like we all have to agree on every detail, we just have to agree on a general direction and start taking the steps. There are a lot of really smart people here with really good hearts. We have been an Ark adrift since Ron Paul retired, and I hate to see us row in circles when there is so much talent on board.

So, what have you got? What is your intent for attaining liberty in 2015?

No, North Korea Didn’t Hack Sony

The FBI and the President may claim that the Hermit Kingdom is to blame for the most high-profile network breach in forever. But almost all signs point in another direction.

by Marc Rogers | The Daily Beast

So, “The Interview” is to be released after all.

The news that the satirical movie—which revolves around a plot to murder Kim Jong-Un—will have a Christmas Day release as planned, will prompt renewed scrutiny of whether, as the US authorities have officially claimed, the cyber attack on Sony really was the work of an elite group of North Korean government hackers.

All the evidence leads me to believe that the great Sony Pictures hack of 2014 is far more likely to be the work of one disgruntled employee facing a pink slip.

I may be biased, but, as the director of security operations for DEF CON, the world’s largest hacker conference, and the principal security researcher for the world's leading mobile security company, Cloudflare, I think I am worth hearing out.

The FBI was very clear in its press release about who it believed was responsible for the attack: “The FBI now has enough information to conclude that the North Korean government is responsible for these actions,” they said in their December 19 statement, before adding, “the need to protect sensitive sources and methods precludes us from sharing all of this information”.

A vaccine chat in Chile with our neonatal pediatrician.

We gave birth to our first child over the holidays! A gorgeous little girl with dark grey eyes. Whether they stay grey or change to another color is TBD over the next couple of months. In a future post, I'll relate the marvelous experience and excellent attention we received during and after partum. The day after her birth, she was administered a tuberculosis vaccine - I had obtained full documentation on the brand and ingredients of this vaccine, and other than the sodium glutamate, I had no concerns about this vaccine, and allowed it to be administered.
