Rapper facing life in prison for "violent" album cover art

Like countless artists before him, San Diego-based rapper Brandon Duncan's new album features a picture of a gun and bullets on its front cover. However Duncan, who raps under the name Tiny Doo, could be the first artist to go to jail for his choice of album art.

Duncan faces 25-years-to-life on gang conspiracy charges brought against him this week, according to the Los Angeles Times. Prosecutors will reportedly look to prove that the album art "willfully promotes, furthers, or assists in any felonious criminal conduct by members of that gang."

"That gang" refers to the San Diego Lincoln Park gang, of which Duncan is a member, according to San Diego police. According to the Times, at least 15 Lincoln Park gang members have been charged in a recent string of shootings in the city.

The Ron Paul Sticker Still Works

I live in New Jersey, but travel a lot because I work in the music business. My car still has the Ron Paul Revolution bumper sticker in the back. I still have people approach me and some times it gives me time to open some minds in the process.

I recently went back to college to get my masters degree. I always drive my car to the nearby campus where tons of students go to.

I literally had a ton impacts with the bumper sticker this week.

Ron Paul's Texas Straight Talk 11/24/14: Defeat Of USA Freedom Act Is A Victory For Freedom

by Ron Paul

http://youtu.be/t5Oaew_Jtf8

It will not shock readers to hear that quite often legislation on Capitol Hill is not as advertised. When Congress wants to do something particularly objectionable, they tend give it a fine-sounding name. The PATRIOT Act is perhaps the best-known example. The legislation had been drafted well before 9/11 but was going nowhere. Then the 9/11 attacks gave it a new lease on life. Politicians exploited the surge in patriotism following the attack to reintroduce the bill and call it the PATRIOT Act. To oppose it at that time was, by design, to seem unpatriotic.

At the time, 62 Democrats voted against the Act. On the Republican side there were only three no votes: former Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH), former Rep. Butch Otter (R-ID), and myself.

Jimmy Carter: 'Being Called Worst President Is a Compliment Coming from Warmonger McCain'

http://youtu.be/8OYU0raRvJA

RONAN FARROW, MSNBC: John McCain reaching for the worst possible insult for President Obama earlier this year said this: "I have never seen anything like this in my life. I thought Jimmy Carter was bad, but he pales in comparison to this president in my opinion." The serious question is, what does is it feel like, and what is your response to, these moments of being used as an insult? Your legacy being used as an insult.

PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER: That's a compliment to come from a war monger... I was lucky enough when I was president to keep our country at peace, and provide peace for others. I was lucky enough to go through my four years, we never shot a bullet or dropped a bomb or fired a missile.

How Do YOU Feel About Obama Amnesty?

Do you care, and if so, why?

I'm not sure I care. Especially as an open-borders and no or tiny federal government type. The issue for me is welfare, not "illegal" immigration. I also fully support violating immoral laws and most laws today are immoral. Illegal immigrants create no victims, and if there's no victim then there's no crime. And as most of us on here know - end the stolen handouts and it's suddenly a moot point.

Anyway, I'm curious what ya'll think.

From the gridiron field to the potato farm: NFL player quits to take up farming

Why a star football player traded NFL career for a tractor
Steve Hartman, CBS NEWS, November 14, 2014

LOUISBURG, N.C. - At one point number 60, Jason Brown, was one of the best centers in the NFL. At one point he had a five-year, $37 million contract with the St. Louis Rams. And at one point he decided it was all meaningless - and just walked away from football.

"My agent told me, 'You're making the biggest mistake of your life,'" said Brown. "And I looked right back at him and I said, 'No I'm not. No I'm not.'"

So what could possibly trump the NFL?

You wouldn't believe. Jason Brown quit football to be a plain, old farmer -- even though he'd never farmed a day a in his life. Asked how he learned to even know what to do, Brown said:

"Get on the Internet. Watch Youtube videos."

Emails show Obama administration targeted reporter over her coverage of 'Operation Fast and Furious' scandal

"The Department of Justice's top communications official plotted to squash a reporter who aggressively covered the agency's ill-fated Operation Fast and Furious gun scandal in 2011, previously secret emails show.

The emails, between the DOJ's then-communications chief Tracy Schmaler and White House press flack Eric Schultz, are a rare look inside the Obama administration's press control machine.

A Bright Sun Is Gonna Shine

A Bright Sun Is Gonna Shine

Changing the world for your future and mine,
Surely, a bright Sun is gonna shine,
The prophet of doom has always been wrong,
Likewise the balladeer's funeral song,
We're gaining momentum; we're moving along,
Unafraid of Leviathan, he's not so strong.

Our movement is spreading throughout the whole Earth,
It's a re-awakening; it's a rebirth,
We demand peace abroad and peace within,
False flags will no longer sucker us in,
Filling every thought and every breath,
Saying "yes!" to liberty and "no!" to death.

We can't be stopped; we're standing tall,

Cleveland Cop Kills 12-Year-Old Boy Carrying Toy 'Airsoft' Pistol

"A rookie officer shot the boy at a recreation center Saturday afternoon after a 911 caller reported "a guy with a pistol" on the rec center's swing set. The caller told the dispatcher the weapon was "probably fake," but the officer — who fired twice, hitting the boy in the stomach — wasn't informed of that critical detail, according to a statement made by Jeff Follmer, the president of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen Association's to local media."
