In order for us to win we have to find the root of our problem and express it in a way that most people understand it.
It seems the only thing we ALL can agree on is the corruption at the Fed. Its history is checkered with questionable actions. It seems that they always profit the most from war.
We have the power to make a message viral. Ron Paul did it and didn't even try. Instead of being divided over Rand and Ron, we should unite around a common message that brings our neighbors to our side.
We have a winning message.
Is there anyway possible the DailyPaul could get an ssl cert?
I will contribute as I am sure many others will happily do as well.
Thanks For everything you do.
At 3:40am this morning, I was awaken to a "Severe Alert" text message from the National Weather Service on my smartphone shown on the left:
I have a letter (below) that I wrote with my liberty group re the gun control legislation that was passed in NY.
There is a NYS Senator who want to repeal the legislation, but she wants to REPLACE it with "mental health" legislation.
We feel strongly that this is not wise. We want to get more signatures in New York than just our group. We want as many New Yorkers to sign this as we can before the SCOPE gun rally on Feb. 28.
We know it's kind of long, but representatives don't really have the knowledge or foresight and need desperately to be educated.
I thought about what Obama said in an interview with Swann pertaining to the presidential "kill list"...
"well first of all, you are basing this on reports in the news that have never been confirmed by me" - Obama
anyone actually think about what that means?
to me it says ... "a news report isn't true unless Obama confirms it to be." ... Listen for yourself
I have a friend who is hardcore about introducing a bill to audit the federal reserve... I'd love to support that action, BUT...
Here's my issues...
1. Who would be auditing the fed?
2. Who would be auditing the auditors?
3. Can we pay the auditors more than the FED can offer them as a bribe?
4. If the government audits the FED and they say it's "all good", then what?
5. If a private company audits the FED and they say it's "all good", then what?
What can drive the fears out from your life?
Is it a worthy function to keep around?
Like the US Post Office cutting back Saturday delivery, the DP is facing resource constraints of its own.
I've personally never been a fan of chat, and I've rarely (if ever) stepped into the DP chatroom.
What do you guys think? Who here uses it?
Does 'chat' serve a worthy purpose?
Update - from one of my comments below:
In light of the recent posts suggesting DPers cash out their 401(k)s to avoid a potential government take over I am interested in Starting a discussion about Self Directed IRAs.
There are # of pitfalls to cashing out a 401k - the big one being the tax and penalties which could essentially be giving 50% or more of your retirement over to the government. I am trying to find a solution that does not involve taking a massive penalty and tax yet perhaps minimizes the risk of a government take over.
Just looking to gather thoughts from the crowd. ASEs more expensive but more recognizable (also still 'legal tender'); while generic rounds are more, well, generic, but no less silver.
If you're a post-SHTF merchant, what are your thoughts? Do you trust the ASEs more to the tune of a ~5%-10% premium over generic silver rounds?
So this thread seemed to cause an unusual amount of hysteria from the hired trolls that frequent this site when it appeared:
Went back to check it out the other day but new comments have been disabled on the thread. I wanted to post some new info on there, so I contacted the Daily Paul:

Subject: Hi guys, why can't I post a comment on this thread?
Just signed up because I have been trying for days to find a video I first was linked to here.
It was a video of a lecture speaking on the elite's impact on bible translations and the small changes over time. In particular, he said Mark 13:32 does not say "nor the son" in an earlier translation.
Any help is much appreciated!

I'm not claiming to understand the entire motivation of the Occupy or the Zeitgest movements although from what I understand they are not all that different from each other. When it comes to civil liberties and social policy like abolition, gay marriage, abortion, etc. they don't seem so different from any of us on their differing opinions.I also feel like many of them many of them favor a Ron Paul non-interventionalist strategy of foreign policy.
Increasing discouragement has only intensified over the last election. (My husband is immune to this dis-ease, having suffered a severe bout of it when William J Clinton was re-elected, his bouts have lessened over time :)Maybe this severe bout (which started with the Bush re-election) will impart to me some immunity. But somehow I doubt it.
The events caused by the Presidents are a major part of it, but the real acceleration of the decline of the rule of law is a root cause.
