Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced Tuesday that he is running for reelection in 2016. This might come as a surprise to people who assumed he would run for president in that same election year.
These two things, though, are not mutually exclusive.

Senator Mike Lee (R., Utah) and Senator David Vitter (R., La.) tried to broach the topic, but were ignored.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.) suggested that House Republicans are on the verge of breaking their campaign promise to fight President Obama’s administrative amnesty, judging by the legislative text currently being circulated.

Like the 'Patriot' Act, just because they advertise it to be X, Y, Z, don't mean scheisse. It's not a reform, when it's a 'reform.'
In case it wasn't clear how legalese is applied in reality is NEVER how it's advertised: 'not citing' name & number, while NOT STOP COLLECTING CONTENT of the communication, does not constitute cessation of collection of meta-data, as advertised & claimed, in govt terrorist-speak.

Over steak and ravioli at The Liaison hotel on Capitol Hill on Wednesday night, about 50 aides, advisers and supporters of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) got pumped up for a presidential campaign they now believe is a 95 percent certainty. The senator introduced his wife, Kelley, and we’re told a final check-in with his family is his last hoop before settling on a presidential campaign.
