Unite as individuals to make change as a Nation

Our government is bought. We have allowed ourselves to be silent for far too long. Unless you have a lobbyist, your opinion has become to mean jack shit. No more, though. It is time to unite as individuals - As one movement, with one goal... to be heard.

How do we do this? The first step is to get money out of politics. We need to make it a priority to get a constitutional amendment passed banning all financial contributions to political campaigns. If congress does not pass this legislation, then we send their asses home and replace them with people that will.

Anwar Al-Awlaki's Oxbow Incident

The Oxbow Incident is a novel and Hollywood movie about townspeople in the old West who acted like vigilantes and lynched some drifters because of a circumstantial relationship with a murdered neighbor. No one defended the accused or believed their side of the story because there was no trial in a court of law. It's one of my favorite western classics because it teaches about the importance of the fifth amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Iowa Update: I went to a Rick Perry rally.

So I went to the Rick Perry (George W Bush 3.0) rally. It was dumb, of course.

But when I finally met the governor I asked if I could ask a question and he replies "Sure but I don't have to answer it." I reply, "Hah..ha... Ok well in July you said that New York including same sex couples as eligible for marriage was fine b/c you believe in the 10th amendment, but then one month later you signed the NOM pledge saying you would try to amend the constitution to support hetero marriages only."

What if Ron Paul asked more questions during a debate?

Just by slightly throwing questions out there instead of making comments, ya know getting those minds to move? Maybe asking Rick Perry why Gardisil was so important he made it a law for 6th graders to take while Merck being a major contributor to his financial backing? Why Bachmann worked for the IRS? Why Santorum's foreign policy directly leads to misinformation and loss of life. Or maybe ask Cavuto why the media is not covering the biggest Presidential scandal with hard evidence since Watergate. If Ron Paul exposed this, he would be President. No Doubt.

Can you guess who has the world's largest army?

Received via email...
True story and most people will never know it.

Here’s an interesting side bar. After the Japanese decimated
our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, they could have sent their
troop ships and carriers directly to California to finish what they
started. The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not
be able to stop a massive invasion until they reached the
Mississippi River. Remember, we had a 2 million man army and
war ships…...all fighting the Germans.
So, why did they not invade?

Why on earth is a constitutional amendment required to pass a Balanced Budget requirement?

I've never understood this. Why can't the Congress just pass a normal bill for this?

Reps. Dan Webster (R-FL) and Tim Griffin (R-AR)In recent weeks GOP congressmen have resorted to all sorts of underhanded schemes to avoid interacting with their angry constituents back home over August recess. Now two Republican freshmen, Reps. Daniel Webster (R-FL) and Tim Griffin (R-AR), are taking this trend one step further, using disturbing intimidation tactics and "watch lists" to discourage constituents from asking them questions:

IMPORTANT: Rick Perry 10th Amendment Flip Flop

It seems that Governor Perry is a flip flopping panderer, but not just on a small issue. He is now saying one thing and doing another with regards to the 10th Amendment, something which he *supposedly* is a big fan of.

NY times article quoting Gov. Perry on July 26th saying:

“Our friends in New York six weeks ago passed a statute that said marriage can be between two people of the same sex,” Mr. Perry said. “And you know what? That’s New York, and that’s their business, and that’s fine with me. That is their call. If you believe in the 10th Amendment, stay out of their business.”
