Islamic disenchantment with the West - in 1924

I am currently reading the novel Shackled by Achmed Abdullah, which was the nom de plume of Alexander Nicholayevitch Romanoff, who was quite a character himself. The novel was published in 1924. I was struck by the contemporary echoes in one passage. When I read it to my wife over breakfast, she said, "You should post that on the Daily Paul." So here it is (appropriately in the off-topic forum). Italics are in the original.

Ron Paul and Islam

This was a pretty great video explaining Ron Paul's foreign policy! This guy did a good job explaining what Ron Paul would do and why he thinks it will work!

Apparently these videos are made by Molotov Mitchell and there are more. I think they are pretty awesome from what Ive seen!

A few weeks away from the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Texas Rep. Ron Paul said that U.S. intervention in the Middle East is a main motivation behind terrorists actions, and that Islam is not a threat to the nation.

At a campaign stop in Winterset, one man asked Paul how terrorist groups would react if the U.S. removed its military presence in Middle Eastern nations, a move the candidate advocates.

“Which enemy are you worried that will attack our national security?” Paul asked.
