Approximately 50 members of Veterans For Peace (VFP) participated in a march this afternoon from Freedom Plaza to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum on the National Mall. The museum was featuring an exhibit on unmanned drone bombers that a group of about 250 people from the October2011.org encampment at Freedom Plaza intended to protest.
Assange continues to speak out against immense forces of evil, armed with no more than pure principles, intellect, and truth. Julian Assange and Ron Paul are in the top tier of heroes in our time:
A man that has fought for so long to have a peaceful foreign policy. A man that has never shoved these peace ideals down people's throats, slang political mud, or hardy even raised his voice in force when defending himself from vicious media attacks/silence and blatant disregard for his kind delivery of the message of peace.
Yet a man who has an inordinate amount of unconstitutional bloodshed on his hands is a holder of this prestigious honor?
Why are we living in bizarro world?
This man needs recognition STAT!
GRASSROOTS RON PAUL AD: PEACE
I'm about to go sell some more Gold and Silver to keep me traveling until the end of January. After I leave Iowa at the end of the Month I will be heading to South Carolina (where I'm trying to get a group together in the North, and meet with an already active group in Lexington) then Florida (where I'll be meeting up with a semi-active group in Pensacola). I'll be working at farms in both states to maintain residence and food.
After that I either have to go back home to California, or, if my chip-in gets funded (http://jaktober.chipin.com/the-tour-to-end-the-war) head to the East Coast.
You assassinated the 5th Amendment? Over my Dead body! Step back - we decide who dies not YOU. Ron Paul and supporters utterly destroy the CIA's unconstitutional secret hit squad.
This is why I am involved, this message makes me proud to be a part of this movement. Here is the message of TRUE compassion, Truth and Integrity. Peace and Friendsip. I can't think of any other message that can bring the most Americans together than the one in this simple, thoughtful video.
They fight for us. Do not forget to fight for them.
QUESTION: We can all agree that the message represents us all. What part of our movement influences you the most?
Is it the wars? Monetary policy? The rule of law? What say you?
AWESOME NEW RON PAUL AD
I've been discussing the lack of Cain's merits with a friend who likes most of Ron Paul's views, except for his foreign policy. I have sent him Tom Wood's recent video (which is great: http://youtu.be/SLUoWhWsOWk).
My friend says that he is afraid Ron Paul would act like Chamberlain. He said,
"What I am referring to specifically is the fact that Chamberlain turned a blind eye to the Jewish plights while 10s and 100s of thousands of Jews were slaughtered... I can see Dr. Paul doing the EXACT same thing."
Its an honest question. My guess would be Reagan. I would love to hear my fellow dpers thoughts. The only other person that comes to mind is Mandela. Today really disturbed me. I support Ron through all the snide remarks. I will say, al alwaki was a sworn enemy on foreign soil. I personally believe we took the right action but the real question is how far it will go.
We can't define our mission which means occupation of foreign soil. Which creates more hatred towards us. Its an evil spiral. We justify murder in order to feel safe.
Who is/was the last leader that represented peace?
Killing people without due process of law. This should be the answer for all who say this was a good thing to do.
this speech seems still very relevant in light of our many wars.
War Is A Racket
A speech delivered in 1933, by Major General Smedley Butler, USMC.
WAR is a racket. It always has been
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.
When I was just 13 a blind man came to me asking "can you help me cross this street so I can wash my face in the river?"
I helped him and saw how he was washing his face his eyes with the water from the river.
He gave up his eyes for me...
He gave up so much fighting the German army fighting the good fight.
Today nobody is asking you patriots to give up your eyes your arm or leg.
Today God asks you to be who you are and to listen to your heart the pure innermost compartment of it.
We are all one family of human beings.
We deserve better.
We deserve to live in peace!
