Something smells fishy about the story...

3 days after a warrant was served, and with no charges filed, she committed suicide? The wife of a business owner like this, and someone who runs non-profits is far more used to stress and even the IRS than the average Joe. Someone like that seems to me to also not be inclined to give up at the first sign of a potential bump in the road.

I hate the way the police always assume family/friends because they are too lazy to do real investigation but in this case...

It just seems that there isn't enough motivation for an innocent woman, who is a wife, mother, involved in her community, and used to stress to take the last exit. And in fact, the only one who could possibly benefit from this is the husband who now is seen as less likely to be guilty and even has grounds for a lawsuit...

Also, a typed suicide note? Is that normal? Seems exceedingly weird to me that she would type a note and then hand write a single sentence...

Btw, when I went to read the story, I expected something more along the lines of someone who had spent years battling the IRS and finally couldn't take it anymore.

But whether it was murder or suicide, if the IRS didn't exist, this wouldn't have went down like this... So the moral is the same, abolish the IRS... :)
