I also thought it was inconsiderate to tell the WSJ that he wouldn't earmark like his father, which, despite Rand's little summary of why his father does that, STILL was a backhanded incrimination of his father. Earmarks are a sensitive issue and he could have just avoided talking about it.

Months ago, a youtube comment about Rand made me very indignant. The poster said Rand is a liar, because Rand was saying things about the availability of a certain medicine in England, and Rand was wrong. But Rand kept saying it. I protested that it was probably just an innocent mistake and how dare anyone call Rand a liar.

Do I owe that poster an apology? Was his character assessment just sharper than mine? I don't know.
