i live in a friendly . . .

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

place, semi-rural--

people on the streets and in stores don't smile as much--

More cars are parked in the driveways on work days--

parking lots with fewer cars in them--

it is seriously scary, and my state is NOT among the worst at all--

we may not be the best, but we are above average for prosperity--

I bump this and contribute to this for a reason. I know some seriously wealthy people who have laughed about the economy worsening and have laughed at the attempts of some of us who have less to garden, etc.--live more simply, buy less.

And now that I am seeing this, I feel compelled to warn people that it's not time to laugh at those who garden and live simply.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
