Voluntary donations make C4L different from government.

You are correct that any organization even churches and C4L can act as badly as we've seen government act. Or in my foulest moods I say. "Organizations are inherently evil."

I am free to support C4L with another donation or I can just leave without a care.

Government far too often threatens and coerces donations (taxes). A minority often suffers under the will of a majority that volunteers their donations and demand the minority join the giving. Perhaps even at a higher rate. But they are stealing if I don't volunteer.

Sound organizations must be free associations (right to assemble is not to be aided or denied by government). Sound Constitutional government has means to change management or change the Constitution.

It's the small differences that make freedom visible.

Free includes debt-free!
