Anyone attempting to use Palin's AIP connections against her, is simply clueless and useless. Her husband's membership is the one truly great thing about her. And they're not a "radical secessionist group", merely a group who realizes the feds have gone way to far, and holds up secession as ONE of several ways to remedy this.
They're also the largest and most consistently successful truly conservative third party in the country. I'd be perfectly happy to vote for Ms. Palin for President, and her husband as a VP, as long as they were running on an AIP ticket. It was whoring for the NeoCon wing of the GOP that did her in, in the minds of true conservatives, not her association with the AIP.
