What a joke.
yah that's rite America, keep on forking your money over. Everything will be fine and your freedom will be served to you on a silver platter so long as you keep keep sending those money bombs in.
Seems to me you people are just feeding the beast. You are only helping to ensure that this system will always be about money, and teaching your children that if you want liberty and freedom you need to donate money to every cause, person, organization and campaign touting it's support for it.
If I got 1 dollar from every person on the same mailing lists as i am for one single donation/money bomb request I could retire.
If I donated the requested amount for every time the campaign for liberty solicits me for money I would be in personal debt for the rest of my life.
I'm not sure if I am making my point clear. Let me share the email I sent Mr. Tate earlier this week:
Dear Mr. Tate,
I am growing increasingly tired of being solicited for money contributions from every single news letter and website I choose to opt into or read simply for the purpose of staying up to date about what is going on regarding current events.
This despicable notion that the American population needs to hand out what little money they have left to every single cause they choose to follow or even inquire about is the very problem with our current system as I see it.
What we need is for more people to start volunteering for these campaigns, organizations, and the like. People whom have their life in order and have a true desire to change these things based on personal interest, and moral fiber, not as a desire to make a living off of it. Money has no place in the desire to stop Cap and Trade in my opinion. If the American people want to stop it bad enough, they will stop it. If they do not want to stop it bad enough to make it happen without donating money to an individual or organization, then no amount of money in the world will stop this train wreck from occurring. I am sure if Cap and Trade is stopped, organizations such as CFL will undoubtedly take responsibility for it, and claim it was a direct result of Americans sending money to someone that did stop it. In reality it is people speaking there mind that will have stopped it, not the money itself.
I do understand that informing the largely uninformed American population is a monumental task, but until someone comes up with a way to organize this task in a way that is not centered around money I will have no part in it. Mr. Tate, any informed American citizen at this point in time is fully aware that no one has even a penny to spare. This money is much better spent investing into their own personal long term wealth. With Social Security up in the air, pensions crumbling, stocks falling, inflation on the horizon etc... I think you can see what I am getting at.
If I spared 10 dollars for every campaign contribution I was asked to contribute to, every time I was asked to contribute to one, I would be in debt for the rest of my life. Make no mistake, Mr. Tate, every Campaign out there is the self-proclaimed answer to all the woe's of the world.
I will sign your petition, with reservations. Experience has shown me that providing even the limited information asked for in this petition, returns an unwanted result regardless of what announcements proclaim such information as secure.
Should you ever find yourself in need of a service I can provide, that does not include me handing you my cash, please feel free to contact me at this email. I do however, regret to have to inform you; If I receive even one more email from your organization requesting money from me, I will remove myself from your mailing list. Enough is enough.
