Well said Logic

Hi Logic. The Christians fundies and Islamic fundies have a lot in common: complete scientific ignorance and a strong desire to misrepresent "the other". Yet as I observe it, this treatment is the same they give to all "others"; others being those with different belief systems that are in direct competition with there own.

It is so funny actually, and as you noted, a big waste of time. I am at a point in my reading that it appears that evolutionary pressures on man birthed the God/Religion need in man as a solution to insolvable questions. Meaning there was a genetic payoff to believe vs not believing. Notice how the insertion of God is axiomatic problem solver? What happens to the believer is relief. Relief from anxiety over ones finite existence as well as the unanswerable. Notice the theist love to ask the scientist, "what cam before?" but if the final answer is not God, Allah, Spirit(s) then there is no relief for them emotionally.

Hey Logic, have you read any of these very interesting books?
