We had a Travel Fair at work today

with a few travel agents, hotels, rental car reps, and airlines represented. I told the reps from United and Lufthansa that I wasn't interested in flying until the airports got rid of the imaging machines and pat downs. The United rep told me that it takes only 30 seconds to go through it. I told him it wasn't the time I objected to, it was the invasion of personal space and nude imaging that is the problem. They both looked at me sheepishly. You could tell that they either don't like the new procedures or they are tired of hearing the complaints of travelers. I finished by saying that I know that it's not their fault, but I said they should have their lobbyists talk to the folks in Washington to get the TSA out of the airports.
