Ok, if the I accept your standard, you must also criticize Ron Paul for saying that privacy isn't written in the Constitution, for that's dishonest and disingeniously implying that either he doesn't believe in the right to privacy, or he doesn't believe the Constitution is the only source of rights. Both arguments would hurt his position greatly.

The Constitution is not a source of rights at all. The people's rights are a part of them, and so no document or Government would be able alter them.
What document states that "so long as you respect others you're free to do as you please" and why should anybody bother to care about such a document? Are you forcing me to a recognize and comply with something I never agreed to? Why can't I do the same?
You are looking for a document to grant you rights or freedom. If you have to get permission from a document for rights or freedom, then you are unable to understand or exercise either.
