Hey LL,
We've chatted about this some over the past months, and I'm really glad to hear of your decision. I have several years of sobriety and it's the best thing I ever did. What I discovered was that, at least for me, it was never about alcohol or drugs, it was about the internal emotional stuff that drove me to seek an escape from reality. Now that I've dealt with all that... slayed all the demons, so to speak... I'm free of it all, and no longer have anything to run from or fear. It's a great freedom, and now I want to be as in touch with reality as possible. Best of luck, and let me know if I can ever help you in any way.
