What he said there was brutally honest and needed to be said. Overcoming alcoholism requires serious personal commitment. All the support in the world can't help you if you yourself are not committed to overcoming addiction. I'm sure this is very clear to LL already so yes, it probably goes without saying, but it doesn't hurt to repeat wisdom.

As far as your accusation of Jefferson, perhaps you are projecting a bit. Perhaps it is you Atruepatriot who could not resist and were waiting for an opportunity to lay into jefferson for allegedly confirming your preconceived suspicions. I'm sure you know Jefferson better than I, but still, in this instance I see nothing foul about that post. It is serious, it is insightful and potentially helpful to all those who read it especially ll. IMO I don't believe the hostility you displayed here was necessary nor justified. I usually enjoy your posts Atrue so please don't think I'm attacking you, I just think your off base on this one and should probably apologize.

Having said that, I'd just like to say good luck LL and to all those fighting off demons in various forms. Our prayers and energy are with you.
