You're missing some ...

Not to let the words of Jesus be taken out of context, but the full verse is this, and it speaks volumes:

Matthew 12:30-36

"30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.
"31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
"32 And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man (that is Jesus,) it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
"33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
"34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
"35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
"36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
"37 For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned..."

It's the principal error of Hermeneutics, Theosophy and Gnosticism to debase the Holy Scriptures and to inject new meanings into them through dialectic philosophy. You can take one line from any writen text and make it mean anything you want! That, my friend, is the very act Jesus just called "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit," the True author of all Scripture. Really, the Truth is a very simple, spiritual matter of the heart ... And it burdens mine that there are many, many today that are doing this ... From pastors to laymen alike. Once you have decided that your own opinions are superior to those written in Scripture, there really is no turning back, just like Jesus said.

Now, what's all this nonsense about names, anyway? If you're Jewish, you can call on Yeshua to save you. If you're Mexican, you can call on Hezus Christos. Ephesians 1:20-23 says:

"20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised Him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
"21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
"22 And has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the Church,
"23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all."

Whatever the Name, there is only One Jesus. He is the One and Only Head of the Literal Church, not just some specific denomination or a specific linguistic group. You can even call out to Jesus by poking your palms with your fingers ... That is sign language for His Name! To really understand what it means to call on Jesus Christ in spirit, the only thing that will bring you Eternal Life, you have to be born again. You need to earnestly want His forgiveness to possess a new heart and a renewed mind in spirit. For as Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:3,

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."

I hope that's you, because I would love to continue these discussions forever with you someday at the feet of The Master!

Love in Jesus,
