When Push Comes To Shove
In the voting booth, voters will not vote for a quitter.
She quit the governorship because of too much press attention, and pressure... Not exactly presidential.
I don't think she wants to run. She likes the attention she gets when people think she might run and the way it helps sell her book and show, but she doesn't want to run for president.
And, if someone strongly suggested she drop out to benefit "the party" last time, or threatened to reveal something about her to get her to quit, there are two problems: what if they do it again, and what if she caves again. Americans don't vote for quitters.
