Where is it written in the bible that we should not be prepared?

Christ teaches us to live by faith in God, but living by faith is not contradictory to being well prepared. For example, if God did not want people to prepare for famine, strife, whatever...why did he allow Joseph to interpret Pharoh's dream of the seven good years followed by the seven bad years, so Egypt could prepare, and survive the seven years of famine, and in so doing save Israel, and his sons from certain starvation? Please give me some insight regarding my post. It is great to have faith, but we are not to be foolish from what I understand.
