Comment: Ya know,
Ya know,
I just spent about 1/2 hr. trying to find out this information. Page after page of possible amendments...I, for one, do not believe this nonsense is what our forefathers had in mind.
Imo, bills/amendments, etc. should be brief, RARE and only happening when there's the unlikely need to amend the Constitution. (If the Constitution would have been followed in the past, I'm saying) Bills should cover one topic only, Congress should have to write the bill, the applicable Constitutional justification (cite the portion of the Constitution authorizing the bill) should be included and said justification should NOT BE THE RIDICULOUS COMMERCE CLAUSE oft-cited!!
Congress WAS NOT meant to be this over-bloated bill-after-bill conglomeration!! It should be a part-time thing!!
I found this thus far:
U.S. Senators Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), David Vitter (R-Louisiana) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) today offered an amendment to the Economic Development Revitalization Act
I cannot find this information under roll calls;
Economic Revitalization Act is: S782
I found a S1276 that MAY be it... Who knows?
